The fascinating adventure of the peanut plant began centuries ago in ancient Peru. It traveled to Europe and Africa, and finally to North America. The state of Georgia grows about 50 percent of the United States annual peanut crop. This film will attempt to describe these in-depth details in the visual narrative - Growing Peanut Butter. This production will include reenacted footage from centuries past and more recent history. For instance farming with mules and peanut stacking. The way things used to be done without machinery. It will then cover more modern operations of planting, growing, science, and harvest all the way to putting Peanut Butter in the jar.
Now it is my turn to take an adventure to bring this story on a path that people can enjoy for many years to come. My physical disabilities add a distinct challenge to the making of Growing Peanut Butter. Because of this and as the producer, it has been somewhat difficult to travel and get the footage I need, but people have been very helpful. I have a majority of the footage already and need to start filming aspects related to science and manufacture. Everyone from County Agents to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture understands the importance of preserving the history of this very important plant, and product. Help me tell this story by providing the funds I will need to continue filming and cover travel expenses as I hire a film crew, pay salaries, and other related expenses. Help me step through the doors others have opened for me in the production of Growing Peanut Butter. Thank you for putting a smile on my face and enabling me to tell the history of the peanut and share the process, in this visual narrative--Growing Peanut Butter.
There are virtually no risk involved as I have a majority of the footage already and contacts lined up that I need. This includes a dedicated production team that has spent countless hours on the trailer alone. I have support from many areas of the industry across the state. A lot of planning and work has already gone into this production to insure its success. That means with your help it will get done and in a timely manner. This will allow you and the general public to be able to enjoy the end result more quickly.
All of the above plus a package of assorted peanuts and or peanut candy created by the project specifically for your indulgence. Think peanut butter cups, peanut brittle, honey roasted, and or boiled peanuts.
All of the above plus an Executive Producers credit and a private tour of the farms the movie was filmed on "if your ever in the area" and a home cooked style meal for two. Tour and meal offer valid through 2018
