Congratulations! You've found our kickstarter page!
We just finished recording our first album and are booking shows for our 3 month tour this summer. We are asking for YOUR HELP to deliver our music, while it's still hot off the press, to the rest of nation by raising enough money to FUND our very first album and take it south of Alaska on TOUR!
Thanks to your help we've raised amost 60% of our $7000 goal!! We still need to raise at least $3000 to fund our project. For those of you new to kickstarter, it's an all or nothing deal folks, we have a limited amout of time to reach our goal and if we don't raise $7000 by the deadline then we don't get a penny of the money we've raised so far. This also means that the people who pledged don't get their rewards unless we meet our goal as well. Every little bit helps and a HUGE thanks to those that have supported us so far! We hope you love the rewards we've laid out for you guys. If you don't see a reward that suits you, send us a comment and we'll see what we can do.
Check out our video, listen to our songs, and read more than you probably wanted to know about our band on this page. Choose a pledge level from the panel on the right to support our project for some super sweet sugar strings merch (see pics below)! Again, a huge thanks to all those that have supported us thus far.

A little more about who we are:
We met in Anchorage, AK through the local music scene and have been playing together for a little over a year. We all have different musical backgrounds including blues, classical, jazz, and bluegrass, which gives us a distinct sound. Carlyle is our southern gentleman, hailing from Denmark, South Carolina; he is the main vocalist in the group. He also rocks the guitar, banjo, and kick drum with an indescribable, infectious intensity, that can only be matched by a southern preacher. It's something you just have to experience! Kat is the band mama; the Pennsylvanian and classical musician in her sings the sweetest, most whimsical harmonies and bakes the most delicious cookies, while the rowdy midwestern honky tonk in her rocks ragtime piano, tambourine, glockenspiel, and many other miscellaneous percussive items (including the CULTIVATOR! hence all the gardening references). Miriah is our Alaskan bad-ass from Homer; by night she sings backup harmonies while layin' down awesome jazzy-grass licks on the fiddle and by day she rollerblades her worries away in acid-washed demin cut-offs. LOOK OUT!. Theresa, the cellist, is from Palmer Lake, Colorado and she rocks her 1912 cello side by side with her 1982 omnichord while singing backup harmonies and wildly stomping her boots out of control in grandma's old dresses.
We love what we do and need your support to keep making the magic happen so please help us capture our sound and share it with our new friends in the lower 48!! We have less than 30 days to raise this money so THERE IS NO TIME TO WAIT!!
Here is some live footage taken recently in at the Fairview Inn, Talkeetna, AK:
