A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:

We’ve all been there. You’re packing for a family trip and trying to fit everything in one bag to save on luggage charges. Shortly after this you realize its nearly impossible to fit everything in one bag.
That is, until now. Lets try this again. Introducing the AROO. A portable vacuum packer that reduces the size of your clothes so you can pack more.
The AROO was designed to be incredibly easy to use. Simply attach the included universal adapter to any vacuum seal bag. Then connect the universal adapter to the AROO and power on the AROO using the switch. When fully charged it will only take the AROO a few minutes to pack down your clothes.
You can easily fit several vacuum seal bags of packed clothes into a single suit case. We were able to fit 42 shirts, 3 sweaters, 3 shorts, 5 pants, and 4 jackets into a normal sized checked bag.
The AROO also works great for business travelers who prefer to carry on. Pack your clothes down in a vacuum seal bag so that everything fits and you don't have to wait for your luggage when you land.
We have been working on the design of the AROO for over 2 years and we are ready to release it to the public. However, we need your help to bring it to life. We have manufacturing lined up and we have worked with many consultants to perfect the design. We are using top of the line components and electronics and we are in the process of getting the AROO certified. Aroo is an exciting project - from the original brainstorming concept sessions through consultations with industry experts from industrial design through the complex puzzle of supply chains, design, certification and manufacturing. The experience has stretched into a worldwide travelers dream endeavor - from places like Germany, Israel, New Zealand, Australia and China.
In my work experience, many truths have been learned over time. A driving core belief is to focus on doing the very best job possible - that a great product will speak for itself. That is the cornerstone principle behind the development of Aroo.
My father started his career life in the United States Army and later in life prided himself on high craftsmanship in every endeavor he took on. He passed along his passion for honor and craftsmanship to me. I believe my dad, with his high standards, would be impressed with the Aroo and the product that it has become.

When you purchase your vacuum bag, wherever you are worldwide, chances are AROO is compatible! In fact, to date we haven't been able to find a vacuum bag that won't work! AROO won't leave you stranded.
Campers, RVer's - well, anyone really can use more space! What a perfect use for Aroo! If Aroo works this well on a large pillow (sorry, the pillow bag says HUGE) and a sleeping bag? The Aroo has taken shape surrounded by many industry leading professionals. The concept and trademark was developed by Aroo's Industrial Designer group. From there, the case design was further developed by German CAD designer Thomas Bögel. MTO Battery CEO, Jason Abel worked extensively with Aroo to prototype a light, powerful and safe lithium power supply. The heart of the Aroo, the motor was recommended through a leading electronics sponsorship and collaboration with their Mechanical Engineer - an amazing motor pump system used in robotics (we affectionately called it the "super sucker")

Risks and challenges
Since this product has never been mass produced, we face the challenge of being the first to market with a new technology. We will run into manufacturing hurdles along the way - finding the right partners, as well as meeting production, assembly and shipping deadlines. The good news is that we gave ourselves plenty of time to do these things and do them right. Any hiccups that do arise will swiftly be dealt with and overcome in a timely manner.
