Sol705 is a hilarious graphic adventure that brings back all the good stuff from the '90s point and click classics with a -slightly- modern touch! Because nostalgia is not what it used to be!
Join a group of eccentric friends looking to sneak out from duty and spend all their free time at their own secret extraterrestrial research club.
Making contact with an alien race? Easy. Getting a date with one of their classmates, well… let just call it a top priority at the club's hidden agenda!
Can’t wait to get your hands on this game? Good news: there’s a demo waiting for you! An introductory chapter that offers about 60 minutes of full-voiced gameplay (subtitled up to 6 other languages) where you’ll get to take an amazing tour around some of what Sol705 has to offer.
The story will unfold during the 70’s, over the course of a young boy’s winter break in a remote town called Tucana Lake, located on a land at the very end of the world known as Argentina. Mystery and references around every corner, a distorted reality that mixes american, european and out of this world pop culture influences and lots of amazing wacky sci-fi situations has been set to provide you hours of pure pixelated ecstasy!
This game pays homage to the great Lucas Arts, Sierra and Delphine Software of yore, making use of the 4 classic interaction verbs: examine, talk, pick up and use. Speaking of verbs, I do believe that a good script is the one thing that can’t be out of this kind of games, so making you laugh, or at least chuckle, in delight with some clever one-liners, funny interactions and sassy comebacks is going to be one of my main goals.
Like the demo? Then get ready because, with your help, this game can become larger, bigger, and better, since there’s still room for improvement such as better animations, graphics, music and tons of super funny and intriguing new situations!

My name is Patricio Land aka Pato and I’ve been working on this game in all my free time for the past ten months as a personal project, sometimes even with my kids as a family project! Back in october 2017 the first episode of this story was released for free on a bunch of platforms. Since then, the response from the public was truly amazing. Adventurers loved the characters, the story, the music… it left me speechless!
It made me really happy to see people asking me for more and more original content every day.
It was a lot of hard work and I was expecting some success (not, really!) so I'm delighted with the community reaction!
I'd love to be in touch, please can contact me at:
Good question! Thank you for asking!
of all, with any rewards, no matter how much you pay, you will get the GAME
Sol705 in FULL VERSION!
No episodes, no to be continued cliffhangers, no chapter delivery, no hidden purchases. The FULL GAME as it's has to be!
The demo version aka 'Exordium' covers only the 1 day of the adventure, and you will have 8 more days to discover the truth of Laguna Tucana. That's a lot of content, as you can see!
And now for the cool part:
This campaign came not without some sweet, sweet deals, such as making all versions of the game available for you, mighty backers!
All rewards give you access to developer's forums and diaries!
This includes all game versions to be available for you, mighty backers, months before public release including a 20% off discount price!
For those who are curious, some extra information: the packaging is the classic old fashioned game cardboard box, in two pieces (front and back) measuring 23.5 by 5x18 by 5x4 cm (aprox). So it will fit perfect into your collection, no worries!
Keep in mind that the game is only available for digital download no matter which pledge you choose.
Nevertheless we're retro family and we can't really trust that online services will last forever, so if you have opted for a tier of $40.- or more
there's an option: you can add a DVD version of SOL705 (full game, DRM Free as always) for only $15.- extra.
How to proceed?
Choose the add-on(s) from the list. Go to “manage your pledge” button on the top of this page. Increase your pledge by $15.- and ”Save your pledge” without changing the Tier that you originally pledged at.
And after the campaign, we will contact you to ask about the add-on(s) you want and inform you about delivery dates.
Yes because there's a few more to come! Cool isn't it?
Fan of the classics point and click adventures aesthetic? Sol705 features good old 2D art and animation. There´s no 3D or Spine rig animation involved whatsoever, just hand-drawn pictures along with that beautiful myriad of animated pixels we love to see our characters move, which feels -and looks- just great!
Here you have a sneak peak of some background illustrations for
Tucana´s Lake, the little town where everything can be possible...
One of the funniest things in point and clicks is the possibility of use and combine all the stuff you’ll be picking up and carrying on along the journey, and this is not going to be the exception! Very much on the contrary, I am sure that many of the objects to be used in the game will bring incredible fond memories to some of you and will awake curiosity and disbelief in those who have never seen before...! Those are a few ones from the dozens you'll find around.
But what about the beats, you may wonder? The OST includes great songs from the south american under scene, which is one of the main themes of this adventure. Two tracks are composed by a personal favourite: the Hiroshima Dandys. Other bands are also working to bring us some amazing songs, going from techno pop to symphonic rock!
In addition I have three fantastic musicians providing both the main theme and the incidental music..
Other talented musicians who had collaborated with me are Eric Matyas, Chris Whickham and Christian Laszlo.
And more great news: new bands are set for the next release, as NAX from my own cousin Nicolás Castello!
But anyways, back to the point: all these are some of the reasons why I need funds to bring this game to the next level. After proving the community and myself that I'm fully capable of this, my next step is to ask for some real bucks to be able to give everything I have to make everything I have planned for Sol705 a reality.
Graphic adventures are the best thing in the world but also pretty hard to make; there's a lot of stuff to do: illustrations to draw, animations to make, dialogues to write and translate into several languages, music to compose... not to mention programming and keep chasing nasty bugs during countless nights!
I’ve been working on this project for several months and I’ve finished around a 60% of the final adventure. Anyhow, I can cover for most of the game expenses. The KS donations are for extra things like translations (english is not my native language) animations and voice acting. My living costs are already covered and I work at home...well...actually on a cave not so far from it, so rest assure on that one!
I started programming as a hobby back in the '90s for the Sinclair Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amiga 500. One of my early games was pirated even before finished...and I ended up buying it without knowing! Even though, those were really great times and with Sol705 I wanted to bring back those feelings of joy and madness after spending several years into game press journalism.
That is why I'm developing this adventure, powered by two steaming coffee pots, running full time, under very dim lights and with tons of coding dumps surrounding me. But this time I'm not alone!
I decided to team-up with the same amazing artists, animators, translators, voice actors and musicians that worked with me in the demo (and some new others) to improve over the quality of this and take my ideas to the next level! And the best thing is that I don't need to make everything from scratch to get the game ready as I'm using a revolutionary Bladecoder engine by Rafael García that it's like a dream come true!
On the artistic side I count with the talent of Himashis Karmakar an out of this world artist working on the backgrounds on double shift! Some of their art can be appreciated below, you'll love it!Translations will be are assured by the best professionals into the localisation arts: Christophe Pallarès @xtooph for the french version, Alexander Preymak @preymakat from the russian kosmonautic center, and Michael Stein @atneon at the german frontier.
Even if the game is going to be ready for download on March 2019, I got more great news for you: most rewards will become available for shipping starting on June 2018! Check this graphic for more details:

"A time machine to the era of the good old games!"
"I loved this game. I'm always looking for a new well made adventure game to play, and among the many games I've played this is definitely one of the best. You've left so much room for the expansion of the story in the first episode and that makes me happy. Can't wait for them to be released!"
"The game has a lot of potential, I really like the 90s throwback with a modern twist feel it has."
"Land did a great job with this point and click adventure! I love the originality of the assets in this classic 90s style game. A cookie box for a map!? A hypnotic yo-yo!? A cat that speaks via an old radio!? Lol!! Its great! I really enjoyed this episode and Im stoked for more!"
"Super jeu. Bonne ambiance. Humour sympa et l'histoire m'a l'air top. F'après ce que j'ai lu la suite sera plus étendue et c'est tant mieux! "
"Просто потрясающая игра! С нетерпением жду продолжение. Это просто восторг !"
"Bravo complimenti. Gioco cazzuto"
"Tendría que estar estudiando para los exámenes de psicología, pero me topé con Sol705. Me descargué el juego y a medida que lo iba jugando me di cuenta que estaba orientando en Argentina y me puse re contenta.¡Mucha suerte! "
You can also try de mobile version of Sol705 for Android and iOS ! on English, spanish, french, russian and portuguese!
Risks and challenges
Like in any project, specially creative projects, some problems can arise throughout development and I'm truly aware of this. However I'm more than decided to bring this game to its final version, as exposed above.
The development of the first episode (or demo, however you like to call it) of Sol705 took hours and hours of hard work but, nevertheless, has been a pleasure, even during the hard moments.
I'm a super serious planner, hard worker and I'm very passionate about what I believe, and I do believe in providing you, mighty backer, the best product I can conceive.
Even if I get kidnapped by aliens -one never knows- I'm sure I'll be able to find some piece of hardware inside the ship to continue developing between all those nasty body tests. So rest assured, and thank again for your support!
