MIDWAY DRIVE-IN MAY CLOSE! WE NEED YOUR HELP TO STAY OPEN!
industry is switching to movies run on digital projectors. 2012 may be the last
year the Midway Drive-In will receive 35mm prints of first run films. This conversion is required for all Drive-Ins and
theaters if they want to continue to show first run movies. These digital
projectors are VERY expensive. To stay open, the Midway will need to buy
a digital projector.
This is a
total cost of over $125,000.00 for us.
Since we are an independently owned, seasonal Drive-In
theater, the Midway will have to pay these costs on its own. The Midway
Drive-In is a labor of love which is operated as a community service. That
amount of money is simply not in our operating budget.
We have worked hard to preserve the Midway Drive-In. Now, we need your help to keep the Midway

Drive-In is an amazing experience! You can arrive early and relax with your family or friends in the
comfort of your own car. Your children can play on our playground and you will enjoy the beautiful nature setting surrounding the

“Nature’s Auditorium under the Stars”.
The Midway Drive-In also features
special showings of classic films and community-oriented events.
