WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
We need your help so that we can make this movie with the love and care it deserves and for a realistic budget, given that this is a horror picture set in a historical period. We need to build the set inside a studio so that we can control all the elements such as fog, smoke, explosions, rain and mud.
100% of the funds will be used for the film for such budgeted items as locations, studios, equipment, vehicles, sets, food, costume, armory, etc. We already have some great people lined up to work on the film.
PLEDGES & REWARDS
Our pledges start at £1 / $1.67 and go up to £5K/ $8350.
We offer great rewards for every pledge, starting with online contact with the director David Hackl and progressing to signed storyboards, stills and artwork, mini-game apps and interactive scripts and much more.
Donors pledging £50 or more can swap the movie download of a DVD copy of the film.

One hundred years ago, thousands of young men headed to fight in the brutal Western Front of WW1. Undoubtedly brave, many of the men were not aware of what was really happening in the trenches and battlefields and many returned home shell-shocked by their experiences.
Many recruits had little training and unrealistic expectations, and their goodwill was not enough to carry them through, especially through the horrific consequences of chemical gas attacks.
Some found inner mettle and proved heroic beyond even their own expectations, but the horror and brutality of the war was oft-repeated by the veterans who survived it.
EARTHWORKS MOOD BOARD
It is a tense and atmospheric horror/ psychological thriller.
We will be using very controlled and traditional film-making techniques and as such, the film will be more like The Shining or The Others set in the trenches of World War 1.

Risks and challenges
Our biggest challenge is the the organisation of a period genre film. Having a good creative leader is key. A cohesive vision and clear communication is the best tool a director brings with him and is key for overcoming creative obstacles. Fortunately, David's combined background as a production designer an director gives him the edge here.
We have highly experienced people who are renowned for the planning, budgeting and organisation of films. This will ensure that we get the most out of the time, talent and money we have.
Our production will also be bonded to ensure that the film will definitely be completed, come what may.
The key to dealing with all risks and challenges in film-making is planning, planning and planning. We have spent a long time developing the film and planning the production and have explored every option in detail and the production will be overseen with the same control and diligence.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
