If you would like a copy of this book and you are unemployed, thanks to the lovely people below who pledged for the dinners, I can now sell some of the copies for less than their cost - so if you are unwaged, volunteering, a full time student, or in receipt of income support or disability benefits, you can have a copy of Cooking On A Bootstrap for £6 with free P&P. There are a limited number available at the moment; if someone pledges for another dinner then more will become available.
One of the original index cards used to scrawl my recipes on in the creation stage, framed with a copy of the corresponding book page with a personalised message. The index card may be illegible or covered in flour and oil and sauce, but it'll be a one-off, a genuine part of the creative process, and I'm quite reluctant to part with them! Oh and you get a signed copy of the book, of course.
AN INVITATION TO DINNER and a launch party celebratory Hoorah of sorts. With me and whoever else clicks this button. I don't know where or when yet but in May sometime, London somewhere, on a weekday evening - we can eat and drink and be merry and you all get to pore over the book before anyone else does. Did I mention eating and drinking and being merry? And dinner is included. It will be amazing. I might even cook a bit of it myself. And of course you get a book. And you can bring a friend, too, because gosh it's scary going to a party on your own. I'll bring some of my friends too... ;-)
I will come to your house and cook a five course dinner for you and five friends (time and date and menu to be arranged between us)...and you get to come to the launch party celebratory hoohah, and one of the original index card framed artworks, and a signed book, aaaand one for a school or library. Phew.
