2017 Calendar: That Golden Pup
Many of you have followed us for a long time and enjoyed our previous calendars filled with sugar-faced love. Lets celebrate a new beginning! Join me on the journey of puppyhood. A whole new face and adventure, but taken with a perspective reminiscent to the original Golden dog, Champ! I've had so much fun recreating many special moments through a different lens: the eyes of a young pup. Champ will never be forgotten; he will be featured in a memorial page.
Bear is a 4 month old Golden Retriever whose personality is beginning to shine. He has an "old soul" and I would describe him as more calm than the typical puppy. Of course, he still has his moments of puppy goofiness and still has a lot to learn and experience! He has massive puppy paws that feel like pillows when you hold them, and a coat as soft as a fuzzy warm blanket. His favorite things to do are to practice obedience, EAT, play with his toys, chew up grass and dirt, and roll up onto a nice doggy bed. He has quickly learned the art of modeling and loves to have a "job" to do! He is more obedient than any dog I've ever owned and I'm so excited to see what he will accomplish. My goal is for him to eventually become a therapy dog, which is simply a dog who passes a test to allow visits to schools, hospitals, etc to ease peoples' stress. If all goes well, when Bear grows up he will visit kids to ease their stress and help them smile. For now, Bear would like to help make YOU, your family, and your friends smile from afar with his photographs!
In order to cover the cost of printing hundreds of calendars in bulk and shipping them out, we will need to meet our funding goal of at least $3,000 in 15 days. To your right, there are different reward tiers for you to choose from ranging from just a calendar only, to other options including our old 'That Golden Dog' book, or even a custom printed gallery wrapped canvas you can display on your wall featuring one of my photographs. Choose what fits what you are looking for and I will get funds to go toward my project, and you get to enjoy these fun rewards as a 'Thank you!' at the end of this year.
Our 2017 calendar will be similar to the calendars we've had in the past. It will measure 8.5" by 11" when closed, and will measure about double that when open. It will be saddle stitched and drilled with a hole so you can pin it up on your wall. It will not be shrink wrapped, however, as I expect to be signing and stamping pawtographs in the majority of the calendars anyway.
The Signed Edition
The Signed Edition of the calendar is included in every tier over $15. I'm still sorting this out, but there will probably be a page in the back that will have space for the paw print to be stamped in. I will sign it as the photographer as well. You can see the paw print above. Like Champ's old pawtograph you've seen in his signed edition books and calendars, this is really Bear's pawprint that I collected ahead of time and got stamps made from them so we can "pawtograph" hundreds of calendars! :) UPDATE: I will also be including a memorial page in the calendar which will be stamped with Champ's paw print as well!
Include The Book
Many of you are already familiar with our 'That Golden Dog' book from our 2014 Kickstarter campaign. I am happy to offer these in this campaign at a discounted price if you would like an extra or still haven't gotten one yet. You will see a couple options including the book.
Include a Gallery Wrapped Canvas
For our largest tier, I can offer you either (1) Large gallery wrapped canvas or (2) Small Gallery wrapped canvases with an image of your choice. As an example, a large can be 20 x 24" or 16 x 20", or you can request a custom size around that range. A small would be around 8 x 10, 12 x 12". You will have the opportunity to request what size you want when the campaign ends. It can be an image of Champ or Bear, doesn't matter. Our images look fantastic blown up on a big canvas, I've been meaning to order one for myself. :) Many of these images would look GREAT in a kid's room! Past clients have displayed them in offices as well.
Risks and challenges
Risks and Challenges will be minimal since this will be the third calendar I'm printing, and I think I've got the hang of things. The calendar will be designed during the duration of this campaign and printed as soon as it's over. I estimate calendars to arrive in early December 2016 or late November 2016 just in time for Christmas and the New Year. For international orders, I can't guarantee they will arrive by Christmas (it depends how long the shipping takes to your country, customs etc) but I will say you MOST LIKELY will get it in time! They will be similar to our past calendars.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
