Thank you thank you thank you thank you again for your support. There are only a few days left in the funding period but "MOTORCYCLUS" has far overshot its goal. I've been using the time to continue adding even more horrifying words to the manuscript—actually, here's an excerpt for you:
The Logical Dog continued to stalk the city, killing and eating humans at what he had concluded was a maximally satisfying but sustainable frequency.
As you can see, I am reaching all the way into the Nightmare Centers of my brain. That guy who writes all that so-called "creepy pasta" had better watch his back.
But enough gloating! I said I had an incredible announcement for you. It is this: along with a physical paper edition of "MOTORCYCLUS", I will be releasing an audiobook.
You can thank my friend Zach for the idea. He said there should be an audiobook, and I said that would be great but I would have to get enough money to purchase some suitable recording equipment, and then somebody (YOU GUYS) donated MORE than enough money to purchase some suitable recording equipment, and as of right now the audiobook is already in the works. I will be reading some stories, and Emily Boegheim who read "Wrong Number" for the video will be reading some stories, and my friend Zach will be reading some stories, and my brother will be reading some stories—I'm working on the recording with a bunch of my friends, and it's turning out pretty dang nice.
How will you ever hear these stories as performed by me and my friends? Like this: All backers will receive the audiobook on top of what you were getting already. I will hook you up with an opportunity to download that audiobook for free. Later the audiobook will be available for purchase at a price of about $10, depending on the vagaries of hosting and distribution.
Now I know you are excited but hold the heck on because it gets better! I would like to invite you to read a (very very) short story for the audiobook. One section of "MOTORCYCLUS" involves a large quantity of horror stories that are each only one or two sentences long, and I think it would be really great if a bunch of my wonderful backers could each record one of these mini-stories. You don't have to if you don't want to!
But if you do want to, then send me a message via Kickstarter and let me know. I will send you a mini-story that you can read into your microphone, and then you can send the recording to me. It is that simple.
