Build better tabletop gaming world with Adventure Realms map tiles. This project will fund the third set in our popular Adventures Realms range, giving you the most flexible choice of our gaming tiles to date.
We started with the Town and Wilderness set, ideal for so many adventuring settings. Next we brought you the Castle and Dungeon set, adding stone walls and dark tunnels to your world. Now we want to add the Village and Riverland set, giving you the biggest variety of high quality map tiles yet.
Each set has 16 eight inch square tiles with full colour printing on both sides, giving you over 2000 square inches of mapping artwork. Each tile has a one inch square grid subtly included on the images, making them ideal for integrating with your miniatures and roleplaying. They are made on thick card and are gloss laminated to be compatible with dry-wipe marker pens.
We're really excited about the extra options that the new Village and Riverland set brings to the table. The heart of the village design are six tiles with a Celtic/Iron Age feel - a longhouse, three small roundhouses, two roundhouses with an animal pen, a witches/wise person's hut, a well and a set of standing stones.
We are also including a more substantial rural building, a farmstead with cornfields and a windmill. Think of a lone farm out in the wilds, solid stone walls its only defence against whatever lurks in the dark.
And to connect different rural areas, there are four more tiles which link roads and country lanes, with a ruin in one, an orchard in another.
For the Riverland, we have six straight stretches of river and two corner bends. We also have a stone bridge, a ford, a waterfall and some jetties with a boat. Whether you're digging a castle moat, having a watercourse through your city or having a long river snaking through the wilderness, this gives you everything you need.
We also have a stream running through the wilderness, less of a barrier to your intrepid adventurers but enough to add character to their world. We have included a straight river tile that connects to the stream.
(Note - some of the artwork is still being completed and are represented by sketches, and some will be amended before going to print. We will give updates on the artwork as it develops).
In this Kickstarter we are being as flexible as possible with the rewards. While we are raising funds to print the Village and Riverland set, you can pledge for any combination of the three sets in the range. You pledge for a number packs, and you can mix and match packs from any of the three sets upto that number. If you just want the Town and Wilderness pack - no problem, pledge for one set. If you want two of the new Village and Riverland packs, pledge for two. If you want to build the best castle the world has ever seen and need six Castle and Dungeon packs, two Town and Wilderness packs and two Village and Riverland packs then pledge for the ten pack Merchant Caravan level. And if you want the digital artwork for personal use, you can add the PDFs into the package.

And with your choice across the three Adventure Realm sets in our range, the options of what to build are huge. The sets are designed to work together seamlessly. If you want a moat for your Castle, just use the Riverland tiles with the Castle Walls. Want some huts in the forest? Put some Village huts with the Wilderness forest and your scene is ready to go.
This project offers an addition to your gaming accessories, whether for roleplaying, skirmish wargaming or just creating small worlds with the kids! Creating a new scene for your story takes just a few seconds, and being modular you aren't just limited to one scene - it's flexibility allows for many, many maps. And being compatible with dry wipe marker pens makes this map set one of the best around.
--- FINAL WEEKEND UPDATE ---
With just two days left of the project and we're really excited that we're fully funded and will be going to print soon. Sean's been working hard on the artwork, and here are a couple more village tiles that will be in the commissioned print run:
Risks and challenges
This is our fifth Kickstarter, and our third Adventure Realm set. All previous Kickstarter projects were delivered on time and within budget, so we know what we are taking on. The artwork for the Village and Riverland set is 80% complete at the point of the project launching, and we should have it all completed by the time the project closes in early October. For production, we are using the same factory that we have used for the two previous tile sets, and they have been able to turn around the order quickly and to a very high standard both times. We also have a good number of the first two tile sets ("Town & Wilderness" and "Castle & Dungeon") in stock, so foresee no problems in being able to meet demand for these items.
We do not have any copyright or legal issues to manage, as the tile sets are all our own designs. We will not have any cross-border production or delivery issues with the manufacturer as they are local to us in the UK and we will be in face to face contact with them throughout the manufacturing process.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
