About this project
What is Stu’s Sour?
Rudi and Stu here from Stu’s Sour Pickle Company. One year ago we set out to produce the best pickles using local, hand picked ingredients. We started selling our pickles to friends and family and eventually grew into a full blown company! Summer came and went and we made as many pickles in season as we could. After cucumber season ended we were left with time and pickle brine, which can be a dangerous combination. Luckily we were able to channel our energy into our newest product- Stu’s Bloody Mary Concentrate.
Why Bloody Mary’s you ask?
Simple, Bloody Mary’s are nostalgic of everything we here at Stu’s love: football games, Sunday morning brunch and throwing a few back with friends. We worked hard to develop the perfect bloody mary--and we did! Our bloody mary spice blend is chalk full of local, vegan ingredients that features our stu’s sour pickle brine. This leaves you with a bloody mary that shows off what it's made of- starting off tart and tomato-y and then finishes off spicy and full.
So why don't we mix in the tomato juice for you?
Its Simple, options, Rudi likes ‘em Stu likes ‘em and we aren't in the business of telling people how to make a bloody. We just want to be there to guide you down the path to bloody mary bliss. Do you like Clamato juice? Kick ass, subsitute it for the tomato juice with no problems. Do you prefer more ‘tomato-ey’ flavor for your bloody? Easy, use only one ounce instead of two and let the tomato juice shine. Prefer organic vine-ripe tomato juice packed in season? We do too and we dare you fine a better tasting cocktail.
What we are asking for-
We have been gypsy producers for the last year, making our product all over the City of Chicago, jumping from community kitchens to friends restaurants since we started. We are now ready to drop the wandering lifestyle and settle down into a place of our own. We have our eye on a space and we think its perfect its got a stone grinder from the 1800's that we will use to grind all of our chilies and spices and has just enough room to grow into a community space for other start ups to use as well! Our goal is to start getting inspections and build-outs started so we can be ready for cucumber season this year!
Thanks for taking the time to look at our kickstarter and we have to thank Derek Cox and Dan Finnen for making the best video ever!
