Well Good Backers, much has happened since our last update and in case you have missed our Facebook posts, below is a brief synopsis:
First of all Annapolis was an exceptional event made even more poignant with an introduction to the film by His Excellency Dr. Angus Friday, Grenada ambassador to the USA in Washington. His remarks were touching indeed as was the emotional response by author Douglas C. Pyle who had driven all the way from Oklahoma to see himself for the first time on the BIG screen. And our Q&A with the legendary Gary Jobson was so much fun that he asked me to moderate his own post screening Q&A later that same day!
Then it was time to set up for our Antigua Premiere in Nelson's Dockyard World Heritage site during the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta - a very special night indeed in the amphitheater of stone walls and tree frogs.
Then we sailed North to screen our French subtitled version for the locals of St Barth's on the dock at our West Indies Regatta, part of our ongoing efforts to reconnect the islands with traditional sail...
This weekend we launch our Grenada Premiere at Fort George overlooking the historic harbor of St. Georges. This special heritage event will be followed by a private screening with Q&A to the delegates of Grenada Blue Week and culminating in a cinema run from 17th -19th May at Movie Palace Excel Plaza.
AND MORE really cool news - we received a request from Camden Film Festival Selects to show Vanishing Sail at the Camden Opera House on May 19th!!!
With Thanks and Respect!
