Created in 2011, Whimismor™ began as a couple of small gift paintings. Over the next few months, my imagination took over and a whole world created itself.
I grew up making and selling crafts with my family at the Pike Place Market in the 1970s. Seattle was practically a ghost town then. That entrepreneurial background helped me when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and Transverse Myelitis in 2004. I'd become a corporate employee, but in a matter of a few weeks I lost the ability to work. But I did not lose my determination. I hadn't painted in 15 years, so I got back to creating art and... Whimsimor became my new adventure.
So far I've invested $3,000 of my own savings, and made $1,200 - in just six months and at only one store! I have been creating hand-assembled "gallery" cards, but because of my fatigue I can't keep up - which is great news! Now I need to move on to offset printing for my more popular designs.
Others stores and shops want my products, but I need money to offset print my new designs. That's where you come in: do you want to join me on this adventure? I have to warn you though... I've been called "obnoxiously optimistic". Yeah, life is good. Most days. And I want to share that with other people.
