Sacred Sword is the world that our chibi miniature line belongs to. While the game and the world are not present in this project, it dictates our overall theme and feel. The Sacred Sword line will be a high fantasy world, with a distinctly classic RPG feel. Modeled heavily after your favorite classic JRPG games but with a lot of added character and flair. We hope to provide a compelling universe for both your favorite RPG engine or other games that you want to use these for.
The Sacred Sword miniature line is a Chibi 32mm miniature line. These are cast in spincast resin and unpainted.
We've teamed up with the great crew at Impact Miniatures to produce the best figures at an excellent price and to utilize their vast experience and improve our project as much as possible! I've had a look at a lot of their newest figures and the casting and such are tops! We'll be carefully working with them to ensure every figure is cut well and casts as cleanly as possible.
In the distant past, the Goddess Lein blessed the world of Edoss with a plethora of creatures all imbued with magic.
There was much time that these lived in peace, however, as with all things, times change, the peoples became fearful of one and another, and banded together against those they feared. Wars were raged, and the world was unbalanced, Lien’s power was drained by those who worshiped her and they used her as a tool of destruction. Eventually the world settled, but the balance of the world had broken. Uneven, some of the races became hateful, some even meddled in the lost magics, that which Lien had attempted to banish from her proud world. In a last effort to save her world, she appointed a Sacred Sword to the people of the Dark, those who had fallen most out of balance, her hope that this power would allow the world to band together under its power. She was sorely mistaken. They used the sword to massacre many of those who had once oppressed them. So in a great act of destruction, she swallowed the sword and most of the Maldrazi people. Tired of the petty wars of her children, she slumbered, resting from the weary wars.
Times have since passed, and most of the world has long forgotten of Lien, calling her little more than a myth, those who still follow her ways are scattered. Now a new threat arises, great rifts of pure magic have opened across the world. As the rifts grow wider, monsters and wild magics pour through unfettered, now is the time for heroes once more. Is it too late to save Edoss? Or can the heroes band together to find the Sacred Sword to save their world?
Your funding provides AdventureCraft the needed capital to finish more concept art, sculpting and then casting of an entirely new range of miniatures. We're starting small, with just a few figures. As we reach more funding goals, we'll add new models from you to pick from. And step by step, your feedback and requests will be heard and implemented to create a colorful world. We've already got the first two sculpts finished and ready to go! The Useko Warrior and Forest Goblin are here to show off the quality of the sculpts you can look forward to when you back this project.
And here are a few photos of the Useko Warrior and Forest Goblin, along with the Chibee which is also a part of Sacred Sword!
Rather than sticking you with a preset list of miniatures you are getting; we are permitting you to select your own. As we unlock more and more options, we'll regularly update this list with more choices.
By working with Impact, we are proud to present these other miniatures options. These are designs we feel are suited to the Sacred Sword world and have personally seen to ensure they are great sculpts!
Glenn McClune - Designer and Creative lead on Sacred Sword, I will be taking and handling all of the Kickstarter end of the project.
Tom Anders - Owner of Impact Miniature. Once the project is complete, he'll be handling all the production, casting, and shipping of the figures.
Lorraine Schleter – Our amazing artist who has been involved since the beginning. She's done stellar work taking sketches and turning them into perfect designs for this world.
Heriberto Valle Martinez - Our primary sculptor. He's been doing an amazing job doing sculpts that match the feel of Lorraines art and brings her images to life like none other!
Risks and challenges
By teaming up with Impact Miniatures to handle the actual production and shipping on Sacred Sword Miniatures, we are hoping to mitigate any major issues, they've got a lot of experience and have a good track record for getting their projects out on time or close, and sometimes even early.
In the event of a delay in manufacturing and such, you will be updated when we know so we can keep you informed.
