There are plenty of things about the 80s that we'd rather forget - but there was at least ONE great thing about being young in the 80s: the golden era of arcades! Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, DDR. Boomshakalaka!
Install these Arcade Era plates in just 30 seconds! No wiring, directly over any existing rocker-style switch. Gamify your man cave, your rec room, or your whole house! Mix and match any color you'd like (look below for color choices).

It's That Easy!
Don't have rocker-style switches? Installing them is cheap (around $2) and easy - then simply drop the arcade switch over top :)
Back in the day, quarters had value: each quarter we hoarded meant three minutes of video gaming ecstasy! Those days have given way to advanced home gaming consoles and ultra-intense games, but for those of you with a soft spot for two concave buttons and a joystick: we've created The Arcade Switch.
These plates go over rocker-style light switches (the flat kind, not the kind that pokes out of the center of the switch plate). They are simple to install - just take off the old plate around your switch, snap the ring and buttons into the new plate, and place it over the rocker switch. Screw it in with the included screws, which are a little longer than your standard switch plate screws.
Then push to turn it on, push to turn it off! If you have the wrong kind of switch, you can find a rocker switch at home improvement stores for around $2 (***Warning: we recommend you have a qualified and competent person change any electrical switches, and always turn off the electricity before working on any wiring project***).
You'll reminisce about the good old days every time you hit the lights. But these light switch covers aren't only appreciated by nostalgic 30-somethings. You ever let a kid loose in a button factory? They love pushing buttons, and these are no exception. The neighborhood kids who have seen the prototypes in our house literally shout about their awesomeness.
Plate: Black, White, Gray
Buttons: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, White, Black, Pink, Purple
Risks and challenges
I have been through dozens of plastic tooling development projects over the past ten years. Although there are always challenges that come up with creating new tooling, I have the experience to prevent the more common challenges. It helps that this is a simple project with few moving parts. Our prototypes have been working flawlessly, so the design is locked down. The biggest risk a backer will have is being delayed on when they get their product because of tweaks to the plastic molds. I love to under-promise and over-deliver, so keep your fingers crossed and we will have a great product out to you before you know it!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
