Tiffany has to bring her forty-pound projector, outdoor projector housing and lots of other digital equipment, which she will not be able to do by herself. She has been partially funded by the Africa Centre and Bellarmine University but this funding will only cover the cost of her flight. Tiffany and Brian are trying to raise $2500 to cover a flight for Brian so he can help Tiffany get all of her equipment to South Africa and a stay in a hostel in Cape Town during the festival.

Risks and challenges
The potential risks of travelling with digital camera and computer equipment are fairly obvious, but our recent trips to China & Thailand, as well as Poland, have given us more experience in travelling with this equipment. With an extra person travelling (Brian), we can carry more equipment directly on board the plane with us, therefore allowing for more safety in the handling of the equipment as we travel. Additionally, an extra person helps to ensure security with the equipment in other forms of travel, such as taxi cabs, trains, buses, etc.
We do, however, account for any mishaps along the way by travelling with more than one camera (usually three) in the event there is a problem with one. We also travel with two tripods to allow us to shoot from two directions simultaneously. For example, many of Tiffany's recent video shoots required her to shoot from multiple angles at the same time. Often, the two angles are separated by a few hundred feet, again requiring another person to handle and guard the safety of the equipment. For all of these reasons, it is important that Brian be there to assist Tiffany in the video shoots, as well as the installation of the equipment for the exhibition.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
