Need a life? Or just some change. Well look no further weary traveler.
Here at Hi-Res Props, we would like to try our hand at making Heart Container coasters. I personally have always wanted a set of my own and believe others out there may feel the same as me. So we have designed and crafted a set of prototype coasters we would like to share with the world. These coasters will be of the standard coaster size and ideal for wine or cold drinks on a hot day. Currently they have a max temperature resistance of a recorded 140 Fahrenheit so hot coffee or tea straight out of the pot in to some cups/mugs may not be appropriate for this item. We are working to fix this issue but have not figured out a way to solve it yet.
Due to popular demand we will also be recreating our stunning rupees that make great ornaments, cosplay props, LARP, etc. The rupees will be to scale and of a fixed size. Limited quantity in the colors: blue, red, green, yellow, orange, purple, black. Dimensions are 5 x 2.5 x 1.25 cm. Shipping for most orders will not be as late as December, production has starter already. We decided to put down December just in case there are any unexpected delays. Due to poor planning on our last kick starter we will need to remake our rupee molds from scratch. This will allow us to try to improve upon our last version as well. For example we have been working out a gold and silver rupee specifically for this project!
We use custom molds made from silicon to cast and dye each item. It takes 24 hours for the polymers to harden to shape and 4-8 days to fully harden, at which point the rupee or coaster is ready. You can see pictures to follow our progress as we progress in this project.

Updates & Progress:
July 15th - I have sorted most of the colors out for the rupees except yellow and purple. I made a batch last night that i am hoping will turn out better then what i have so far. I will post a picture later today of how they turn out. Still haven't received the materials for the coaster mold yet but I am working on getting a smooth gloss finish on the top of the coasters at this time. the progress is looking good.
Thanks every one for supporting my ideas, I look forward to the coming weeks of work to bring you guys the best items I can! Couldn't have done it with out all of you.
June 30th - So its about time to start showing some photos of the progress so far. We finally got a gold color that we like. took a few color combinations to get here but there it is. you can see the front and the back of the gold rupees available with the last tier. Still waiting for the silver materials to come in.
4000$ - We will try to embed each coaster with the Hyrule symbol.
Risks and challenges
Even though my first project went well we have to remake the rupee molds from scratch as we didn't foresee the extreme wear and tear on the original molds making almost all of them useless. As well, we will be changing the materials used in making these new rupees.
We have only one prototype mold for the coasters at this time and will need to spend 2 months making up to 40 new molds to stream line the coaster making process. We will not be starting this until the project has been successfully funded.
Currently we only have one person working on the actual crafting of our products so item creation will be slower then our last kick starter.
We have created amazing high quality props before, so we will work hard to make a quality product. Previous molds have been created for non-transparent items such as a helmet, an axe, a lego storm trooper costume and more.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
