James Caird Timepieces - Automatic Diver's Watches
Looks sharp at the office, works hard on the trail. A watch for all of life's expeditions.
... and to us, this meant it should look sharp at the office, and hold up to the most rugged trail. To do this, we’ve considered what is best about mechanical diver’s style watches -- especially their functionality and dependability -- and incorporated them into our first timepiece, The Endurance.
Our name comes from the story of Ernest Shackleton’s Antarctic expedition, in which the lifeboat, the James Caird, famously transported the crew to safety through some of the most treacherous waters in the hemisphere. Our watches are designed to be as timeless as the story and as durable as the lifeboat.
Durable. Dependable. Functional. Timeless. That’s what it means to be a watch for all of life’s expeditions.

This is not an off-the-shelf, one-of-many diver’s watch. In a microbrand sea saturated with look-a-likes, we want you to know that our watch is born of years of experience, research, and development.
We are not just another micro-brand. Our experience comes not only from years of collecting, but time spent at Lititz Watch Technicum, the highly competitive school school where students learn the art of horology. Our timepieces are not stock - they are designed specifically to include the best elements of both timeless and contemporary watchmaking to ensure they will look good and wear well for decades to come. But, most of all, we want our watch to be accessible, so we have worked hard to incorporate all of these features and maintain an affordable price.
We wear our watches everyday because we want to show you that our watches are for any of life’s expeditions. We hope your join the voyage.

Risks and challenges
As a collectors for over 15 years and proud owners of many micro-brands, we know what we look for when purchasing a watch -- trust: trust that you're getting a dependable timepiece at a good value and a product that the company will stand behind. That is exactly what you will get with a James Caird Timepiece.
After wearing the prototypes for some time now and subjecting them to scrutiny, we are very pleased with the result, and we're sure you will be too. The only potential problem could be delivery time. The run will take 90-120 days to manufacture, and it could run behind for some unforeseen reason. However, we were quoted 90 days for prototype delivery and we were pleasantly surprised when the prototypes were delivered weeks early.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
