To make Rabbit Hole Brewing the destination it needs to be, our brewery is looking for help in funding a Tasting Room and Biergarten.
**STRETCH GOAL #1 - $13,500** Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Please continue to tell everyone you know about our project and encourage them to donate as well. We are now offering our first stretch goal! If we can hit $13,500, everyone who donates at the $10 level or above will receive a Rabbit Hole Brewing "Gone To Pee" card! (It will look something like this, but Rabbit Hole Branded!) You'll never have to worry about someone taking your unfinished beer again!
**WE MADE IT!!** We've made our goal, but that doesn't mean you have to stop! We still have t-shirts and pint glasses and speed openers to give away....and there are many more kegs that need names!
**NEW INCENTIVE** To help us hit our goal (and beyond), we have decided to name a keg after each person who supports our kickstater project! That's right, your name spray painted on the side of a Rabbit Hole keg! How awesome is that?
Be a part of the Texas craft brewing renaissance.
A surge of interest in craft beer is taking over Texas, and Rabbit Hole Brewing is poised and ready to satisfy the thirst of the region’s craft beer drinkers. Rabbit Hole is a new start up production brewery founded by 3 long-time recreational brewers who plan to bring something new to the burgeoning local craft market. Our drive is to build a brewery that will focus on classic world beer styles that are underrepresented by today’s American craft breweries: styles such as English India Pale Ale, German Kolsch and American Brown. Our products will be authentic versions of beers we love but sometimes have a hard time finding. Naturally, we will also have seasonal brews that stretch the boundaries of traditional styles. For the last couple of years we’ve been working hard to develop and refine our business plan, navigate through the licensing and business landscape and raise funds for our 20 Barrel brewery to be built in Justin TX, a small and colorful town just south of Denton. Our plans are nearly complete and our brewing equipment orders about to be placed, but there’s still a missing piece: we need a place for visitors to come and try our beer.
Tasting Room and Biergarten
Weekend brewery tours are a staple of the brewing industry, and with our unique location situated between Ft. Worth and Denton we anticipate a lot of visitors to the Rabbit Hole. That’s where Kickstarter comes in. In addition to all the awesome SWAG we have to offer, funds from Kickstarter will be used to build a proper tasting room and biergarten for people to come and enjoy our beers. The $12,000 goal will allow us to convert existing office space in our building into an attractive tasting room, and to construct an adjacent outdoor biergarten. In the event that we exceed our goal, we’ll be able to upgrade our fixtures and furnishings, and any additional funds beyond that will go toward the purchase of improved packaging equipment to help extend the reach of our brews and our brand. With a goal of hitting full production in the 4th quarter 2013, we hope that by year’s end you’ll have the opportunity to come visit the tasting room you helped create.
Here's our awesome stickers and coasters! You know you want one!
And our T-Shirts rock, too! See how happy Samantha and James are just wearing them? (We will be designing an awesome shirt just for Kickstarter supporters!)
Our Pint Glasses are full of Awesome! (But you'll have to fill yours with your own beer...we can't ship them that way...)
Here's a prototype of our Personalized Bar Rabbit. This will be cast in a translucent purple urethane, personalized, and then sealed under polyurethane on the bar-top in the tasting room for a permanent placement. Doesn't it look awesome with your name on it!?!
And this is a prototype of our speed opener...to commemorate you helping us open our Tasting Room in a speedy manner!
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Starting a Brewery has many challenges, and without careful planning so many of them can delay or derail the entire project. The scope of a package craft brewery is large and highly regulated at both the state (TABC for us in TX) and Federal (TTB) level. We can’t always control the equipment schedules or the government licenses from delaying our grand-opening. Projects close to home we can control. This is the reason why we limited the scope of our Kickstarter project to the coolness of building our Tasting Room and Biergarten. Isolate one part of the startup from outside dependencies, the piece so many people will see and be a part of, and give them the opportunity to fund making it a Wonderland.
