Happy New Year - January Update

Hello all, and a very Happy New Year to everyone!

I have woken from my festive slumber full of vigour and have resolved to finish all the projects that have been looming over me like a giant gherkin for so long.

Fortunately work at Rumpus is going well, we've got some really exciting client work on at the moment so I don't need to scrabble around looking for work and I'm able to allocate my time towards finishing off the rewards which, I apologise, have taken way, way, way to long. Sales of Episode 1 and 2 on the Nintendo Switch have also helped claw back some of the money we lost on Episode 2 so we are now in a much less Bleak Predicklement - who knew my title would be so self-prophesying!

Now for the good news! At last the Caverns of Chaos comic is nearing completion and I hope to get it off to the printers by the end of this month. Here is a sneaky peek at one of the pages (the final colours may change, but I'm pretty happy with how it is looking)

I'm also meeting up with my book designer this month to finalise the artbook layouts. There is still some work to go into that, but I'm hoping that will be ready to print by March at the latest.

So by April/May I should be ready to ship all rewards up to the Adventure Tin level. The Adventure Tin is proving far trickier than my simple mind expected (although I was warned) and I'll be in touch with those backers individually soon to discuss workarounds/alternative solutions. *A little tip for everyone - make sure you check the minimum amounts of products you need to order before you make rash promises about tins of Adventure...*

But all in all, things are going much better for us here at Rumpus HQ and we are all full of creative juice.

I was also asked by Kickstarter if I wanted to take part in this year's Make100 initiative after my 100 Days of Mystery was so successful. I thought long and hard about it, and decided the opportunity was too good to pass up on so I have launched a kickstarter for another book of ink drawings and short stories, set in the Bertram Fiddle world - this one is called 100 Days of the Macabre and will be very similar to the artbook that I sent a digital copy of out to you all in the last update.

Another 100 ink drawings and 50 short stories of befuddlement and dread.

As alway with Kickstarters, getting as many people as possible to see it is really vital, so if any of you can help share it around amongst lover of ghoulish Victoriana I'd really appreciate it!

Many, many thanks everyone and I hope everyone has a really, REALLY great 2019!

Thanks a lot for the update! I'm one of the tin backers and really look forward to get all the stuff. Maybe you can check with a different manufacturer who can do smaller orders? Or you can order the minimum and try to sell the leftover for curio shops or small book stores as cool retro tin. :) Just an idea, not that simple, I guess.

Great update, thanks Seb! I would like to know what are the plans for "exclusive game box set of Episode 1 and 2"? I really hope it`s going to be some kind of cardboard box. Not dvd-case but real "old school" stuff.
