It's been an emotional and financial roller coaster of love the past few years but "TV MAN: THE SEARCH FOR THE LAST INDEPENDENT DEALER" is near the finishing line. The film's theatrical run last September garnered a distribution contract, but for the film to be delivered two things must occur: (1) the remaining music in the film must be licensed or replaced and (2) the film must be rendered for delivery according to the distributor's requirements with attendant agreements cleared by an attorney. All of the film's other costs including a title search, clearances and errors and omissions insurance are in place.
As you can see from the trailer, "TV MAN" is a warm humorous look at a segment of American popular culture that is rapidly disappearing and a hard-learned lesson when a country loses important technology and manufacturing sectors of its economy. Please help keep the memories of all TV men and women alive for generations to come by supporting the film. Risks and challenges
"TV MAN" does not need production funding and has a contract with a distributor. The film does need a number of post-production angels to help deliver the film to the distributor by providing funding to either license the remaining music which has not yet been contracted or replaced with new score by a composer which will have to be hired. There also remains some additional editing relating to the music and Kickstarter credits and rendering for delivery to the distributor. All contracts must be reviewed and signed off by the production attorney. "TV MAN"s distributor's first sale of the film will guarantee manufacture of commercial home videodiscs wherein DVDs can then be sent to Kickstarter supporters.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
