About

_____________________________________________________________

NEWLY ADDED: With a $1 pledge I will personally send you a randomly selected activity from the game to try out with your partner right away.

______________________________________________________________

Thank you for looking at my project. For the last several years I have been creating over 2,000 different activities for couples to do together, both in and out of the bedroom. After sorting through my massive boxes of handwritten note cards of each activity, weeding out 900 of the best of them, painstakingly arranging them so that they are matched up by category, and arranging them for the sake of game play, I have come up with Lover's List: The Ultimate Couples Game.

Why is it the ultimate couples game? It isn't just a game for enjoyment,it is also a game to enhance your relationship. Lover's List is a simple game in the form of a book. Within minutes of opening the book for the first time you will be directed towards a new random activity to do together. The best part of Lover's List is the anticipation of where it may take you. It might be a sensual encounter by candle light or planning a vacation in an exotic locale; you won't know until you play.

I have been studying and looking for ways  to improve romantic relationships for several years now and have become very frustrated with what is available. Take a look at the 'relationship' section of your local book store and you will see exactly what I mean. Countless books on sex and how to seduce others, as well as a handful of books on how to be romantic. We are raised on sex ed classes that teach us the mechanics of intercourse, but are left on our own to manage our most intimate relationships.

While sex is an important part of any healthy relationship, as well as one of the most enjoyable ones, it is not the only one. Even if you had intercourse with your partner every single day, it would only take up a small portion of your day. Focusing on just the sex is like watching a movie and fast forwarding to the big climactic finale. The ending may be phenomenal, but everything that happens before it is crucial to the relevance of the ending.

What any thriving relationship needs is to have a healthy dose of Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual contact.

Physical contact in a healthy relationship is obvious, but it is not all about sex. All humans need physical contact in order to truly connect with and feel secure with others. Physical contact is in kisses, hugging, holding hands while sitting next to each other, a pat on the back for a job well done, and even in a handshake to close a business deal.

Emotional contact is your personal connection to each other. It is not only the emotions you feel for each other, but also how you cope when those emotions are in flux. Everyone has bad days now and then. The difference in healthy relationships is that they manage the bad emotions together instead of letting it become a wedge between them.

Spiritual contact is your own personal growth. You can't grow as a couple if you don't grow as a person. Nor can you expect to please each other when you don't know what exactly it is that makes you happy. Experimenting with new experiences and sharing them with each other will open up a whole new door of possibilities to both of you.

The types of activities in Lover's List are:

Intimate- Close and intimate activities that only couples would do together.

Games- Games to play together.

Around the House- Activities to be done in the comfort of your own home.

Out and About- Activities that will require you to get out of the house.

Outside Influence- Activities that will require you to interact with other people.

Discussion- In depth conversation topic to have together.

Senses- Activities that involve stimulation each of your senses.

Role-Playing- Scenarios to enact with each other.

Each of these categories also has the opportunity to overlap. There are games that require you to get out of the house. There are intimate activities that will need to be applied to various location around the home. There are discussion topics that will need to be shared with other people. Along the way there are also random Alterations that will affect how you perform the activity to ensure that no two activities will ever be the same. Even if, by chance, you happen to randomly select the same activity twice, the Alterations will make it especially unique. There will also be the opportunity to change the fate of the dice roll so you have more of a hand in where your activity is going. This is why the game is in book form. We had tinkered with the idea of making it a card game, drawing random activity cards, but doing so would have eliminated this interactivity in not only guiding you towards the activities you would most enjoy, but shaping them into ways that work better for your lives. Much like physical intimacy in a relationship, Lover's List is all about the journey and not the destination.

In order to bring this project into reality, I need your assistance to cover editing and publishing costs, and for that you get loads of great incentives:

Lover's List: You will get a copy of the Lover's List game with all 900 activities, rules to the game, and 3 20-sided dice. You really only need one dice, but we want to make sure you have extras in case one gets lost. Also, selecting an activity usually takes 3 dice rolls. If you roll all three at once, you can go straight to the activity. Of course, you don't have to follow the rules in selecting an activity. Instead you can simply open the book to any random page and perform the activity on it. You are also free to read through the book and perform any activities that strike you as interesting at any time. The activities aren't brief blurbs of one or two lines so that we can say that we put 900 of them into it. Most of them come with tips and advice on how to get the most out of the activity to best fit your situation and lifestyle.

Life's Little Surprises: While creating Lover's List there was a category of activities that were a personal favorite that simply didn't have a place in the game. This was the Surprise activities in which one person rolls the dice to select an activity to surprise their partner with at a later date. Unfortunately, while play-testing the book we discovered that many couples enjoyed taking the time to read through the book. When it came time for their partner to surprise them, they had already read about the activity in the book and saw what the activity entailed, they weren't as surprised by it. As a result, we now have a deck of 50 cards. Each card has a surprise activity that is drawn at random to surprise your partner with.

Gamers Rewards: Providing Gamers Rewards was one of the very first gaming projects I ever worked on, and have been using for all our gaming ever since. Much like Life's Little Surprises, a card is drawn at random at the beginning of any game. It can be a card game, board game, video game, sports game, or simply racing each other to the car. Once the competition is over, the winner reveals the card that has their reward. Everyone we have presented our Reward cards to has loved them, even the losers. It adds a competitive edge to the game because something is at stake, and the results of rewards are highly entertaining. With the Lover's List version of the cards, the rewards will have a level of intimacy that our normal cards would never have. Having your friends make you a romantic dinner or give you a back rub is a little creepy. The Reward cards can also be used at any time you like to show your appreciation to your partner by having them draw a card.

The Lover's List Kit- It contains a variety of objects specifically selected for activities in the game. While it is not essential to play the game, having these materials on hand will make playing the game that much easier. One activity in particular will specifically utilize this kit, for those who have it. The props and materials needed to play Lover's List are everyday objects that most everyone has in their home. However, sometimes that isn't the case, or it takes time to find them. With this kit you will have what you need on hand without having to look for it, so you can get into the action that much quicker. Plus, you get the added anticipation of what exactly the  items in the kit will be used for. Here's a hint: we don't like convention, and finding unusual uses for everyday objects are part of what Lover's List is all about. Since the kit is an exclusive for Kickstarter backers, there will be an opportunity for all of those who have it to come up with their own activities using the objects in the kit that will be posted on the website.

If you wish to have additional copies of the game, simply add $40 to your donation amount and it will be personally autographed with a message towards the person of your choice. If you wish to have additional copies of either of the decks of Lover's List cards or the Lover's List Kit, add $20 to your donation for each additional deck or kit you want to recieve. The cards and kit are perks for Kickstarter backers, and will likely not be put into production after this listing is over.
