At 567ministries we believe that passing faith on to our kids, matters. Therefore, we cannot accept that less than 10% children who regularly attend church report that their parents talk to them about faith. In order to help parents share faith with their kids, we: Create scripture-based artwork. Inspire curiosity in kids. Lead parents to routine and natural opportunities to share faith with their kids.
Our first product is called "5,6,7… Eat". It is a set of 6 double-sided placemats (12 Jago illustrations total) illustrating themes and stories from the Old Testament. When used at family meal times, our placemats will create curiosity in kids providing natural opportunities for parents to share faith with their kids.
We are looking to raise a minimum of $8,600. That amount will allow us to cover the remaining balance for the production and packaging of 500 Old Testament placemat sets (available now) and 500 New Testament placemat sets (available at the end of summer). That amount will also cover the minimal costs associated with running a Kickstarter campaign.
Risks and challenges
Our project is fairly straight forward. In order to produce 500 Old Testament and 500 New Testament placemat sets we need: the parent resources to be written (that is complete), the artwork to be completed (all OT illustrations are beautifully done and NT illustrations are in process as we speak), and the production to be completed (we're already in production with the 1st set with an excellent printer).
I foresee the most significant possible threat being a flood of initial interest causing my friend Dave and I to run ourselves into the ground fulfilling orders out of his garage. If there is a flood of interest, I assure you we will be empower others to help get customers their placemats in the time promised! Not only will a flood of interest cause us to make sure that we deliver products on time, it would also give us motivation to move ahead with other innovative ideas to inspire faith conversation between parents and their kids.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
