The ARMSmasters Crew
“It was the height of an Age of Glories, when magic was common place and adventure beckoned. Hand in hand, we embarked on a journey to change the world… Now, at last, our story can be told.”
ROUND 2: New Goal!!! Hello everyone! We've returned to Kickstarter with an altered goal! Please read below and thank you!
Hello and welcome to the Kickstarter page for The ARMSmasters Project!!
ARMSmasters is inspired by action anime, western superhero animations and comics, manga and gaming. It explores the relationships and dynamics of a group of characters as they rely on one another to survive thrilling adventures in a world where magic Is a common thing and superhuman warriors dot the landscape and engage in mythic deeds. Action, drama and humor are all elements here and we know that there will be something in The ARMSmasters Project for everyone.
In 2010 I founded Alpha Omega Animation Design out of a group of select upcoming and successful artists who were fellow graduates from The College for Creative Studies. It was our desire to focus our efforts on creating new intellectual properties and since then we've utilized our talent and resources to try and polish our presentations to the best it can possibility be with an aim to get it in front of the right audiences and truly share this world, the first of many, that we've been developing.
Our end goal is to produce a fully realized animated teaser of approximately 3 to 5 minutes in length for the purpose of submission to film festivals as a short animated film and to anchor our efforts at presenting ARMSmasters to interested parties.
With your generous pledge we will be able to bring on board the talent we need to attend to issues of original music, voice actors and artists and animators. Student aid as well as the generous assistance of industry professionals will be used to bring ARMSmasters to its full potential as a vibrant hand drawn animated piece.
We are very excited to have come this far and we can't wait to be able to share our collective artistic efforts and the vision of this world to you. You can follow our progress by visiting:
Thank you for your time!
Right now a lot depends on our ability to reach our funding goals but we are always looking to make contact with other industry professionals and new contacts who are part of this field. Ultimately we will have need of many different character voices and we are busy building our portfolio of available voice over artists and musicians and animation artists as well so please don't hesitate to contact us. When the time is right we will do audition packets and reach out to those we have need of but our ability to hit or exceed our funding ceiling will have a direct impact on just how much we can or cannot do.
I backed you previously and I would like more clarity as to how your new funding goal and film goals are different.
Essentially we are aiming for a much lower ceiling in order to help us turn our original teaser (posted above) into a much longer and more polished teaser trailer to submit to film festivals and anchor any pitches we have with possible investors and networks for a longer show or film. Our original funding drive was seeking to complete a much longer 'pilot' that would have been around 10 minutes in length with appropriate levels of narrative, voice acting, lip synch and more. The reduction in our ambitions will enable us to produce a tight, straight to the point, action adventure piece and properly utilize our existing assets.
Several who are involved in The ARMSmasters Project are also art educators. We have provided animation camps, worked in community arts partnerships and held art camps for under privileged young people as well as taught at college preparatory levels and at the college level. Any student aid we bring aboard will receive exposure to the full development process for animation and have an opportunity to lay hands on and gain actual experience with professional work.
