About

I am Eva and I’m a second year MA students in Design Products at the Royal College of Art (RCA), London UK. Duo holder wast designed during a Quickstarter workshop run by Oscar Lhermitte, a Kickstarter Thought Leader. He’s a London based product designer and here are some of his successful campaigns: TAPE ✂️ STICKERS and MOON.

Duo was mainly thought as a holder for herbs that allows you tu have herbs close during cooking and preparing food. But it can be also used for other plants. Transparent tape on the back side allows to stick Duo on a fridge or tiles instead of making holes and using screws.

What can I use it for?

It can holds herbs close to your working place...

It can be stick on your fridge...

It can be used as a plant holder for interior plants...

Duo is made by laser cutting stainless steel type 316 with softly brushed finish. Thickness of material is 1.5 mm. Product is manufactured in London.

Specifications: W x L x H, 275 mm (W) x 150 mm (L) x 23 mm (T) Inner diameter: 100 mm Material: 316 Stainless steel Gauge: 1.5 mm Finish: matte brushed

What to do when you receive it

Duo will be shipped to you in small carboard box.

Risks and challenges

I understand the risks of running a Quickstarter campaign alongside my academic deadlines and that’s why I will produce it after my graduation to make sure that I deliver product of great quality. In the nature of Quickstarter, I designed Duo as a simple compact product made by one producer. I will keep you updated throughout the process...
