With issue 1 & 2 complete and 3 on its way the one road block we've run into is printing. With your help we can over come that hurdle.
Why are you here?
Hi! First I want to say thanks for checking out my Kick starter campaign, now to tell you why you're here. I've been working on Techwatch for many years and have been met with open arms at great venues such from cons like the San Diego con to your local shops around the way. I've also been picked up by Diamond comics for national distribution. Now if your not familiar with Diamond comics they are the guys who distribute all of Marvel and Dc's books.
For a indy guy like myself that's a very big deal because it speaks to the quality of my project. Although we have these benchmarks under our belts we still run into a major issue, and that is printing.Printing is really what turns a $3.00 book to a 5.00 book. If you are unable to print a large run of 1000 or more you really wont be able to make a profit off of your books which makes it harder to put out additional issues or even sell to the local shops at a high enough volume. Now that's were you guys come in. I am looking to you guys help to get the funds up to print Tech Watch series. All the money you guys pledge will go to printing the book. So if you like what you see make a pledge and get your copy of our action packed comic!
I, Radi Lewis, the creative mind behind 'The Children of the Phoenix' have teamed back up with Artist Ernesto Vicente and Colorist Mike Borromeo to bring Tech Watch issues 1 & 2 and now, with your funding, hopefully, a Tech Watch animated web series.
Tech Watch tells the story of a secret para-military group that goes around the world strong arming scientist into signing over their creations and working for the groups founder Isaiah Grey. When the scientist rejects his offer, he sends in his black ops team known as A.N.T.S. (Assault Nano Tech Soldiers) to recover the invention then erase any traces of the device and the scientist that created it, which usually spells death for the inventor. Eventually he crosses path with a scientist who is not only willing to sacrifice his life for his beliefs but, more over, is ready and willing to go head to head with Isaiah and his A.N.T.S..
This story promises to be action packed with really great art work to back it up. Ernesto Vicente really does a great job of bringing the characters and technology to life with his illustrations, while Mike Borromeo adds his finishing touches keeping the coloring and tones in tune with the story. Tech Watch is a different type of story in that it doesn't have a clearly visible hero to root for. Tech Watch tells the story from the prospective of the would be bad guys.
So if you like military style sci-fi drama's with larger thank life characters then this is the story for you.
Why you should donate?
Tech Watch is a beautiful blend of action, art and storytelling. The art and colors from the comic series are beautifully rendered and really make each scene come to life. Because of how great the art was received we are going to maintain that highly detailed art going for the remainder of the series. So if you like mechs, advanced technology and tons of military style action then look no further.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
Over in the top right corner of this page is the goal. That's how much I will need to print the first three issues of TechWatch. If the goal is reached, production on the project will begin immediately. If the goal is not reached before the end of the 30 days, though, then you will not be charged anything. You only pay if the project reaches its goal before the deadline!
WHAT DO I GET OUT OF IT?
Obviously, I wouldn't expect you to give away your hard-earned money for free! Participating in this Kickstarter project will net you lots of nifty rewards, many of which are available nowhere else. Along the right side, you will see categories, with dollar amounts. By pledging that amount, you will receive the rewards listed in their respective boxes. Here are some examples of rewards:
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE GET FUNDED?
If we are fortunate enough to reach our funding goals we will begin pre-production work immediately. Because you guys are our investors you will receive weekly updates on our progress via email and videoblog! Once pre-production has been started our next step will be to start mailing out the rewards to you the investors.
WHAT IF WE BEAT THE GOAL?
Beating the goal would be awesome because it means we will be able to produce even more issues of TechWatch.

The one issue I run into with these books when trying to put them in customers hands at a decent price is the printing. Printing is really what turns a $3.00 book to a 5.00 book. Any independant comic publisher will tell you this, We would love to sell our books to you at the industry standard price but most of us cannot afford a 5000 run print. We here at Chameleon Creations are working hard to provide you, the comic loving world, with high quality independent work.
