Where are the personal holograms?! Do you have a personal hologram? I mean holograms are everywhere, right?
But they are not accessible.
But it seems unless you’re a major credit card company… or Michael Jordan… or a swimmer with a flair for underwater eyewear… you can’t get a hologram for yourself.
The alternatives out there don’t fit.
Yes, there are some really cool hologram kits out there that let you make your own experimental holograms, but I want something that combines the full-color higher qualities of 3D commercial holograms with digital input and even animation. At a price that can be afforded by families, put to work by small businesses, and even used as creative concepts in art projects.
The answer is Litigram!
It's a new technology I developed for making full-color 3D digital holograms in a way that’s much more efficient and cost effective.
We produced a completely new hologram printer with this design, and the first Litgrams we produced look really amazing. These Litigram holograms can be created from a variety of digital sources, or captured with a digital video recorder or camera. They are full-color 3D with sharp, clear images, that can even play out several seconds of smooth motion as you look from side to side.
Capturing a 3D scene for your Litigram is easy!
There are many, many different ways to capture the 3D images needed for your Litigram, but some of the easiest simply use your standard digital camera in video mode (or a camcorder). Below are some videos showing the before and after images captured for Litigram holograms.

And for even larger scenes, the "3D walking shot" can capture almost anything for your Litigram hologram.

We turn your 3D scene into a full-color hologram with motion!
After you send us your 3D scene, we'll send you back a final "virtual proof" showing what will be in your Litigram hologram. After you approve the proof, we turn it into a full-color hologram that plays out the motion as you move around the image. The video above shows the Litigram with the framing and lighting options.
Why we need Kickstarter.
We’ve built the first Litigram printer, but now we need your help to go into full production.
In order to do this we need a bigger laser to power the existing Litigram hologram printer system. A bigger laser means faster exposures, and faster exposures mean more affordable holograms. We will also be making the automation system more robust for higher quality control in production, and purchasing the special hologram film we use in volume quantities so that we can get volume pricing.
Holographic laser systems and the other equipment and supplies that are necessary for this are not cheap, and venture capitalists and other traditional funding sources tend to shy away from hardware intensive hologram companies. But with the Litigram project, we can make this happen.
Litigrams... and maybe more.
Just like photography changed with the introduction of a camera that let you take the pictures and enjoy the pictures without ever actually having to develop a picture, the Litigram system will let you spend your time capturing 3D hologram images and enjoying 3D holograms without having to become a mad scientist in your spare time.
