Log your surf sessions with this beautiful web app and share your time in the water with friends.
Surfr will allow you to document and share your surfing adventures. It's kind of like the Nike+ app for runners. For v1 we will develop for iOS but if we raise more than $100k then we will definitely start developing for Android.
Pixil Agency is proficient with app design and development so this is definitely a project we will pull off, assuming we get funded.
Our hearts are truly in the right place as our goal is to ultimately create better life experiences and help us remember the memories that we make.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to bring this app to a beach near you.
How much will the app cost? It will be free
Who is this app for? Surfers and surf enthusiasts
Is the app only for iPhone? No, the app will have a web interface that you can logon to using any device. We will also be creating a native application for iOS.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
In pulling report data there could be some hurdles either partnering with an existing surf report company or configuring the data from NOAA. That said, pulling in report data has been done on a number of occasions. However, if changes are made that are out of our control then it could be an impedance to the development of the app (at least that particular feature).
We realize, as seasoned designers and developers, that a project like this has many variables that could potentially push the timeline forward as well.
The $50k budget is tight so we hope to go over. At the $50k budget we will have to set hard priorities on features and functionality for version 1. We hope to be able to deliver on all of our ideas up front but it may take a second version to do so.
The only challenge with the rewards is that the 3D printers could potentially break and delay the time of delivery on some of the products. We have 3 Makerbot replicators so we do have backups if one fails.
