About this project
UPDATE: ALTHOUGH WE HAVE REACHED OUR GOAL FOR KICKSTARTER, WE HAVE WAY MORE MONEY TO RAISE!! YOUR HELP WILL NOT GO IN VAIN! WE HAVE ALL OF OUR POSTPRODUCTION COSTS WE NEED TO COVER!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO LOOK INTO OUR PROJECT...WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL, LET'S KEEP IT GOING!
I have been working with my colleague Jason Chaet on this short film for over a year now, and I am confident that we have a phenomenal script (it helps when your source material is by Anton Chekhov). We have a team of experienced professionals that will make this a truly special project. It's an exciting international collaboration with people from all over the globe (USA, Mexico, Phillipines, Colombia, Spain), taking a 19th century Russian story and transplanting it to modern day Puerto Rico. Let's get this movie done!!

Here's what our music director is up to!!
A synopsis of our story...
Jerry is a paunchy, lovable 'gringo' in his late 40's whose life is crumbling. His glory days well behind him, and constantly failing at the tasks in his life, his wife is divorcing him and has banished him to the extra bedroom in their suburban home. A couple of days before moving back to the States, he is startled awake by his daughter Nadya. She reminds him of the sheet music she must have to practice the piano for an upcoming recital. He promises her she’ll have it by that afternoon.
Determined to do this one last thing for his daughter, Jerry sets off into San Juan, the city he has loved and has loved him back, to find a music store. He arrives at the shop only to realize he's forgotten what piece he was supposed to purchase. He tries to befriend Miguel (Armando Riesco), the young man behind the counter who deals with Jerry's incredibly bizarre behavior.
Jerry imagines the consequences of his returning home without the sheet music... a wife divorcing him, and a daughter that is broken-hearted by the crumbling circumstances in her home. Will he remember and put a smile on his daughter's face? Or will he return empty handed?
We are planning a 4 day shoot in mid-June with a budget of around $16,000. With your help, we will be fully funded!! Please donate to our project! "Remember", you will help us create something worthwhile, and be very happy with the final result!!
