Have a question?
This thing was crap. Ripped the first time I used it.
The seams in my wallet ripped during its first use. Fewer than 15 bills and the suggested placement of 6 credit cards. Now a functionless sheet of high-tech plastic. I wish that I could post praise.
Same problem to me!
Yippee!! You did it. So proud!
I'm excited to support an Oliners project!
I re posted (Facebook) the link to your kickstart page this morning. I already got a few comments on it. People really like it. Good Luck
So proud of you guys! Count me in!
Since I live in Holliston and work in Needham I thought this was the perfect product to back! Good luck and I hope you succeed in the kickstarter! Looking forward to de-Costanza my wallet in the process!
Hi Rajesh K,
You can hold about 15 bills. Probably more depending on how new the bills are. At this time there are no other colors available. In our experience, the edges do not wrinkle up like Tyvek.
Thanks for the interest,
Thanks for the reply. I think the information you need can be found from this wiki page.
Thanks for the reply and clarification. Along with 6 cards how many notes can it hold? Will there be color options also? Does the edges of wallet get folded or wrinkled like wallets made with Tyvek or are they stiff enough to maintain their shape while kept in the pockets? Thanks
UK banknote dimensions (http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/pages/current/default.aspx), Euro banknote dimensions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro_banknotes#Specification), HKD dimensions (http://www.hkma.gov.hk/eng/currency/2010_series/banknote_leaflet.pdf).
Hey Jackal Chan,
Can you send us the dimensions of the dollar bills you use in Hong Kong? We will check with our manufacturer about adding custom sizes along with with the standard size and we'll get back to you as soon as we know.
What will be the dimension of the wallet? From what I can see in the pictures, the height fits a 100 US dollar bill with little space left. In my country (Hong Kong), the common dollar bills are mostly a centimeter taller than the 100 US dollar bill. I want to know if there will be different dimension wallets available, or else it will be a nice but not so practical product for me as I don't want the edges of my dollar bills sticking out.
Clarifying a typo:
In our test wallet we've been holding six cards; two in each inside pocket and one in each outside pocket. They are mainly held in by friction as in most wallet, though there may be some static in the pockets helping hold them. We are looking into making opaque wallets and differently colored wallets.
It's funny you should mention that. If you take a close look at some of our earlier prototypes you may notice that we actually tried this. While it worked pretty well with our hand-made prototypes, we've been having trouble implementing it with our manufacturer. We are still looking at a few potential ways of implementing RFID shielding, and if there are any updates we'll let you know!
Thanks for backing!
Hey Rajesh K,
Sorry it's taken so long to respond. With regards to production the finalized design will be completed before the end of this kickstarter. Since our kickstarter was progressing nicely we have continued to work on this. Therefore production runs should begin as soon as we receive the kickstarter funds. We have been working closely with a local manufacturer, American Durafilm, and, according to their estimates, will be able to complete our first production run within two weeks of placing the order. This should allow us to begin shipping within the first two weeks of January at the latest.
With regards to the inconsistency of numbers I have also been wondering this. I suspect it's just not loading all the numbers at the same. I've noticed that this appears more often on the mobile app, but refreshing the page usually updates them. It's also worth noting that not everyone backs for the exact amount of one of the reward options; we've received backings of $5 or $10 despite that not being a reward tier. Simply factoring in the number of backers at each tier therefore will not equal the total pledges.
In our test wallet we've been holding six cards; two in each inside pocket and on in each outside pocket. They are mainly held in by friction as in most wallet, though there may be some static in the pockets helping hold them. We are looking into to making opaque wallets and differently colored wallets. I will get back to you on this as soon as we have more info from our manufacturer about this.
I hope this helps answer some of your questions, and thanks for backing!

No answer for the comments for more than 36 hrs- thats bad. On looking at the very scant and sketchy production timeline- final design is to not done yet and is planned to be completed with the funds from the KS backers. Coupled with the fact that you are not going to be receiving the funds till late december, your intended promise of fulfilling the rewards in January seems also far fetched and not possible. On the top of it the number of backers ($1 5 backers, $33- 27 backers and $41- 2backers) does not coincide with the 36 backers as well as the total pledge amount of $1025. So many inconsistencies and suspicious things- does not write it off as the first time KS creator. Unless you have very good explanation for the above, I will be canceling my pledge soon. Thanks
Would it be possible to aluminise the inner (full height) Kapton layer? This would allow for RFID-blocking of cards contained in the inner section (e.g. contactless credit cards) while still allowing for access to cards in the outer pockets (e.g. contactless transit cards).
Great concept. How many cards does it hold? How is that the cards don't fall out? Can you make the wallet opaque so that the card numbers and money is not visible? Thanks
I'm so exciting for this wallet. I want to boil an egg in it.
