Hello friends, Concert lovers, Songsmiths and Dreamers
What songwriter wouldn’t be thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase their songs in a concert? It would be even better if they got to have fabulous performers involved. And better still, for those theatrically inclined, (like me) if this concert was being performed in one of the country’s early vaudeville houses. For fun, let’s add into the mix the relaxed feel of an old radio show with a golden toned announcer (think Don Wilson). Radioshow (MF Daisy Songbook Concert) is that show and I am ecstatic. It is in fact a dream come true.
I can hardly wait to watch the Hootchie Kootchies’ vaudeville multi-colored fan dance as they harmoniously sing of their ennui with the Monsoon Season. I’m excited at the thought of sharing the story of the pretty blonde divorcee backed by a gospel choir refrain “Heaven Help us all” and at the other end of the spectrum, listening to the perfectly executed solitary strains of a nature child describing an evening turned to night on a remote island in the straits of Georgia. That and so much more.
Though the concert will be recorded and available for distribution, there’s nothing quite like the live event. I hope to see you at the theatre. Thanks For Supporting my project.
