I am releasing an EP with the support of friends, family, and fans. Help by being a part of the recording and distribution process.
My name is David Ruybalid. I have been writing and performing since childhood. I write for many different genres and purposes. I have been so blessed to serve in a local church in San Jose. So many of my songs have been written out of what God is doing in my life, and in the life of my church. I have been wanting to put them together in a project for years to share and offer as a tool for congregational worship. I believe that the time is now.
"Hope Is Found In You" (2013 Single)
I will be releasing this EP in the fall of 2013. It will have five songs that are all focused on being a tool for congregational worship.
I have built an amazing production team. I have Jeremy Unruh (Vocal Producer/Engineer), Chad Carouthers (Guitars and Bass - Jeff Deyo, Phillips, Craig, and Dean), and Brad Nyght (Head Producer - Desperation Band, Gungor, Lincoln Brewster, Darrell Evans, Kari Jobe). These guys I trust, have known for years, and have a great track record for making great music with.
2. I have industry experience. I have managed, consulted, and produced with major label/big named artists and producers (Dove and Grammy Awards). Because of this, I have a massive network with endless possibilities for the future.
With your funding help, I will be able to function on this project without a label.
Like I said before, this is an affordable package that includes recording/production and distribution to radio and online stores. Any amount raised over the goal will go to a 2014 spring tour and possibly some guest appearances by some known artists.
I trust that the goal will be met. The sky is the limit and this is just a start. Will you help by partnering with me and my team on this project?

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
One of the challenges that I know that I will run into is that of timing of deadlines. We are balancing multiple musician and producer schedules, as well as a commitment that I made to a radio distribution company. Everything will work out right, but it is a challenge to manage timelines and schedules with so many different people.
I am fully confident in God's timing and the people around me that support me. With this I still know it is a risk in so many ways. The biggest one for me is time. Risk is worth taking, but that is a fear in the back of my mind, because I am spending so much time getting this project together and less time engaged in other things. I think that it would be wrong to not take this risk. I don't want to be 20 years down the road wishing that I had taken it.
