NOW WE FOUND THE DESERT LOCATION (SALTON SEA) BUT TO FILM THERE, WE NEED ALL THE LOGISTIC (BRINGING 50 PEOPLE FROM LA, SLEEPING THERE FOR 2 NIGHTS)

So Our new goal is 10000 DOLLARS, we hope we can make it because the project looks better and better.

About the band and the music

 
What can defeat love ? For Amour Versus nothing. They compose music in the shadow since a very Young age. These « music monks » finally decided to expose themselves to the real world. And spread their message.

'My generation” is a freshly written electro-rock song by a Parisian band named Amour Versus. The song is about the Millennial generation, which has been growing up over more than twenty years. Mixed and recorded in Paris, the song needs a music video capable of matching the dynamics of a group that has already written and performed a wide range of other songs.


About the music video

The music video, written and directed by La Société (Félix de Givry and Edouard Carretié) will introduce a character that has to be seen as the mirror of his/our generation. The “highlights” of his life, which will be brought into image in a surreal way, are almost universally applicable. The dramatic structure of the clip is filled up with cultural (and universal) references: over and above all other considerations, the Millennial generation is the generation of overloading, and when the character of the clip reaches his “saturation point”, he goes through doubt and madness and attempts (climax) to give up. He decides on deserting his generation, which is also his civilization. These scenes will take place at the desert. Nevertheless, both the clip and the song aim at sending a rather positive message as well as at blocking the apocalyptic fears that have been blossoming recently within creative circles. My generation's music video will be a joyous and colorful explosion of images, with a real story within it. This project started up a few months ago and we have been able by now to form a professional crew whose individual components come from different backgrounds and cities. They all work or are doing internships in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.

  • The main actor, Felix Armand is coming from Paris. He has just worked on a French movie "Something in the Air" directed by Olivier Assayas (who did Carlos) as the main supporting actor.

In order to make this happen, we need to raise funds for the cost of art-related services (after-effects), transportation, locations, costumes, and shooting.

The shooting will take place in Los Angeles during the last weekend of April and the first weekend of May. Check out the attractive rewards we have created for you, it's serious stuff !
And also, a super cool "making of" will be made during the shooting.

About Us

Felix de Givry is the co-founder of Pain Surprises, a company that has organized several and successful parties in Paris. He has also made videos for french advertising companies. Along with Edouard Carretié, they have created « La Société ». This general partnership is focused on writing and filmmaking. Together, they have written a synopsis for the upcoming music video of Kavinsky, produced by Iconoclast.tv (a company that has produced Lana del Rey’s, MIA’s and Justice’s latest music videos). They have made 4 short movies and they are preparing web advertisings for the popcorn brand named Popcornopolis.

We both come from Paris, from the same school. We are spending a year abroad at UCLA’s Film and Television School.

About this project

Here are some key scenes so you can get the idea:

- Jack (our main character) is on Facebook. He is adding friends. Friends appear around him as he clicks, until he gets surrounded by almost 20 people.
- Desert scene : Jack is reading a magazine on his couch (close up shot). When the camera zooms out and dollies back, we realize that he is in the desert (all the furniture from his apartment is in the desert)

This project is basically a music video. But you will see that there is something more. In fact, you are all partly or completely involved in this project, even if you do not know it. This music and this video are about you all (and us, obviously). Say hello to the Millennial generation.
