Have a question?
Got my copy today. The board and game pieces look and feel great. The construction of the box itself is laughably terrible, though. Would definitely be interested in a more sturdy version of the box, even at a small cost. It will be difficult to take the game anywhere with the current box.
Received game today. Box itself is ripped and rendered useless. Artwork on all pieces look great. Manuals are in good shape. The bank notes were loose in the box and are folded and ripped. The plastic hexagons are okay aside from some pieces that need to be cut on the edges. The biggest issue I have is the play field is bent and will not lay flat. I am trying to find a way to bend it back the other way. I am curious to see if replacements will be sent out.
1) No. You can perform your actions in any order BUT you can sell your buildings only at the end of your turn (having finished all other actions)
2) Guavar have to move 2 hexagons and is not able to move only one
3) Yes. You can hire units immediately after the constraction of the Guild
4) Common buildings go to their deck. Only common Units go to graveyard after the death
5) No. You can load/disembark and move during one "move" but you can't both load and disembark during one "move"
About "move" - It's a problem of translation from Russian to English. In russuian we use two absolutely different words, but they turned into the single "move" during the translation. Next time we will be much more attentive to find all such confusing moments.
Best wishes, the team of The Elinor Games!
I have questions abount the rules:
-In clan wars, do you have to perform the actions in top-to-bottom order or in any order?
-Do a Guawar need to move 2 hexes or can they move only one?
-Can a Mercenaries Guild hire units in the same turn it was built?
-Do "common" buildings go back to their deck when destroyed or the "graveyard"?
-Is it correct that a "Frigate" use its entire move action to load/disembark so that it can't move any hexes in the same "move"?
The way "move" is used in the rules bock is a bit confusing, "move as the action/phase and as in movement of hexagons wich is part of a"move".
I also received my copy in poor shape in the US: box corner badly dented and separated, and the game board very badly warped (will not lie flat, and parts of it are 3 cm or more above the table). I saw that you commented that you are working on a solution (thanks!). Would it be possible to have replacement boards available at Gen Con?
Dear Backers, all games were sent some time ago. There could be problems in post servise, because there are big holidays in Russia in May, most servises do not work. It could slow the process of delivery. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions. We hope all games will come very soon.
I still havent received my copy either. I have emailed a couple of days ago and still no response. very disappointed
I also never received my copy.
My game never arrived. No communication after several attempts. Not happy.
Mine did not arrive safely - the box is ripped and in bad condition from being shipped in just a plastic bag and no sturdy box with packing/reinforcement and the game board itself is warped and damaged - Are you replacing the damaged boxes and game boards? I can send you pictures of the damage.
Just recieved it!! Box isn't great quality but considering the size of the board and pieces it makes sense for 20$ the book seems to be good quality I'm looking forward to it and the game seems very interesting.
32 EUR custom tax!!! Never again
Game arrived safely a few days ago, thanks. Have to agree with comments already posted about the quality of the box (print is fine, just materials used appear poorly chosen).
Yes, we made a mistake in chosing the materials for the box and playfield, sorry for this. We are now working on improving it.
I just opened the game board, itself, for the first time, to check it out and the printed playfield is already starting to separate from the cardboard. I can certainly appreciate the effort that was put forth to get the game done and in our hands, I’m sure it was not easy for a small company, but I’m extremely disappointed with the finished result.
I received my copy a few days ago. The quality of the game box itself is sorely lacking. Very thin cardboard that doesn’t hold its corners and falls apart when you take the lid off, super flimsy. The contents in the box were haphazardly thrown inside with no organization whatsoever and absolutely no way to organize it yourself. The game pieces appear fine but the overall quality is very low.
We have sent almost all games and emals with track numbers. There are only few left, because there are big holidays in Russia and our post servise could not sent them.
Please check your mails for track numbers. If you won't get your track number by 5th May, or you have any other questions, please contact email@example.com
Has anyone else received theirs yet? I see one person a few weeks ago that they received theirs
I haven't received any notice in e-mail or the game; should I be concerned?
Je vois que certains ont reçu le jeu.
Pourriez vous me dire quand est ce que je suis censé le recevoir je vous prie ..?
@Curtis: no email, no tracking number.
@Alain Deschenes, did you receive any sort of email or confirmation for delivery? Or did the game simply show up at your residence?
Thank you for a nice feedback!
We are happy to tell that the game is now on BBG https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/250962/elinor-deserted-valley
Just to let others know that I have just received my copy of the game. North of Quebec.
Components quality is good enough, although the box wasn't hard enough to arrive without damage. The box damage is light and does not bother me. Must have been caused by the loose plastic pieces. I have solidified the box with docktape inside it. Now it stands nice and sturdy.
A suggestion would be to have a cardboard box and have a paper sleeve over. This would provide a solid alternative still at low cost.
The paper money looks amazing and feels right. Cardboard tokens works perfectly for me and are protected during gameplay within the plastic inserts. Rulebooks looks very professional and seems to be straight forward, I'll have to get back on the rules layout and clarity after my first couple playthroughs. And lastly the gorgeous playboard is impressive.
I'll give the game a try this weekend, I'll try both scenarios. If no bgg available at that time I'll create one for the authors.
When will we get our Tracking Numbers?
Hi! Our gane will appeare there soon.
Just curious why the game isn't logged on bgg yet...
Hi! We have started to ship.
Any news on shipping?
Hi! We are starting to ship, everything goes perfect, thank you! Pictures of a ready Game are in the update.
Hi any update on when this will be shipped please?
Hi! Any update on the process? Hope everything is going well for the team of Elinor! Cheers
Thank you! Now we are ready to start!
Congratulations on funding. can’t wait to read and play!
print and play tier would be awesome .
Thees Haren, Yes, thanks, now manager pledge is possible. You can get 5 games for 80$ and single shipping or form your own custom order.
Andrey Sanin, yes, we have paper money for this version.
Hi there :)! I'm not sure, if this was answered before, but will there be a pledge manager later on? I'm member of a german gaming community and there might be some people to join in. So perhaps it's possible to add several copies of the game to one pledge in order to save some shipping costs?
It would be awesome to have a print and play tier.
"Play money 150 units"
Guess it's time to pull up another order of metal coins
Happy New Year to everyone! All the best and warm wishes for this year!

5) Cardboard box, A4 format, tight carton 1-2 mm thick, color offset printing: 4+0
And the picture of plastic basements can be found in the updates.
Hi there. I am intrigued by this game, but as mentioned below the quality looks underwhelming. I saw that it was said the games in the videos are prototype quality, and that's great. I would like to see what the plans are for upgrading the quality of the components will be before I back at a higher level though. Can you speak to, or more preferably, show us what kind of quality we can expect from the finished product?
Really looking forward to this ^_^
Daniel Cassidy, sorry for late reply. Yes, we are going to translate book II into English, if we got 20000. If not, we will do it later and include the book in one of the next campaigns.
Just curious is there any stretch goals planned.
It's certainly a novel way to create a game world and setting
Thanks to all of you! We are very glad that you like it.
Thank you for that update I'm more siked to back it knowing it's history!
I’m looking forward to this. I do feel it needs more attention though.
Tumble weeds, hello is there anybody out there or are the debates about the game happening on an other forum somewhere else. And I would have liked a we have reached our funding goal update.
