3 Days In, You All Made it Happen. (And then some!)

Posted by Matt Beard (Creator)

Wow, I'm blown away by your support!

When I set out to create this Kickstarter campaign, I was truly concerned about meeting our modest goal to help offset the printing costs (we were planning to sell all of our furniture and possibly some of our old clothing, and maybe even have a bakesale if we had to in order to make this thing happen). I didn't expect you guys would push us clear past our initial goal before we even really started posting this thing on social media. I sent out a few emails (ok, quite a few, but still), mostly to those of you who have helped me out and supported my art over the years, and apparently you all weren't done showing your support just yet.

I kinda thought the book wouldn't be too hard to sell once I actually have them in hand, but I didn't expect so many of you to trust me so much with something you can't hold in your hand and flip through the pages yet. I'm humbled by your faith in my work and I'll try not to let you down.

Even Now, Every Bit Helps!

Please, keep on spreading the word!  What we realize from this early burst is that there's going to be plenty of demand for the book. While it's great to sell out of a run of prints, or paintings in a show, or even a run of books like this, the last thing we want is to pull the trigger on the order and run out too soon while there's still a lot of demand.

Every pre-order is still a tremendous help to us, by helping us gauge demand and determine how many books we'll need to order next month so that we can be certain that everyone who wants a book will get one. I hate missing out, and I bet your friends do too.

If there's anything I can do to help you spread the word where you think it needs to be heard, let me know. Every effort, big or small, is very much appreciated.

Until next time, thanks again!
