A four issue comic series detailing the rise and fall of the world's most famous young daredevil, Trip Fantastic
“It’s spectacularly illustrated by New York-based graphic designer Derek Charm, who depicts in bold color and flashing neon lights the life of ultra-famous daredevil Trip Fantastic, a sort of futuristic, sexier Evel Kneivel who lives in a world that runs on things like antidepressant soft drinks and exclusive lists of the 600 most famous people in the world.” - The Seattle Weekly
“It's sort of a combination of romance, war, and amusement meets new high-tech.” - Baywatch Nights
Trip Fantastic is a creator-owned web and print comic about the rise and fall of a young daredevil superstar. Planned as a four issue miniseries, the first issues of this psychedelic action comedy are sold out of their first printing, but are currently viewable on www.tripfantasticonline.com.
Hoping to publish a larger print run, we have been in discussion with an overseas printer for 500 copies each of the already completed Issues 1 and 2, which can then be distributed via comic stores and online. The cost of generating the plates, offset printing and shipping the books comes to roughly $3,000.
By donating today, you can reserve your copies of the full-color print editions of issues one and two, as well as a complimentary Trip Fantastic mini comic. Donors at higher levels will receive other goodies, such as made-to-order hand-screened Trip Fantastic t-shirts, an EP of original music inspired by the comic, commissioned artwork and an autographed mustache variant (where we draw mustaches all the characters). All donors will receive a printed thanks in the back matter of issues one and two.*
