Thank you for looking at our Kickstarter page! I am very excited to be directing my first short film. I come from a background of writing and acting, as you can see from my imdb page...
...but this will be my first time sitting in the director's chair! Fortunately, I've got a terrific team behind me.
The movie we are trying to make is a 20-minute hard, scary, fun, totally-bad-for-you piece of scifi/horror/action that will play perfectly at 1am on youtube when you need something that totally rocks. If we make an engagingly addictive B-movie, I'll be ecstatic! My cinematic inspiration for this project is stuff like RESIDENT EVIL, FROM DUSK TIL DAWN, PITCH BLACK, and EVIL DEAD 2. Imagine the celluloid melding of David Lynch and Tony Scott on a $900 budget, and you'll be in the zone we're seeking.
Specifically, the money we raise will go toward the following:
1) food for cast and crew. Everyone involved is donating their time and talent, so we have to treat them properly.
2) sets, props, costumes, locations, make-up. Any micro-budget filmmaker knows to write for economy, but these costs always add up when you want to make the best movie possible.
3) Post-production costs. Most likely, $900 will be used up during production just for those various expenses that always arise. But anything that is left over will go toward making the footage look and sound as good as possible.

Risks and challenges
This is a zero-budget action movie, so the risks and challenges are great. However, our team is experienced at making quality short films for small budgets. This film will have a strong action element, more than we have had before. This will create a learning curve for us to create exciting action scenes. However, we know some talented people who should be able to make those scenes happen.
The real reason, though, that you should support filmmakers like us is that garage-band stylings brought so much vitality to music over the last 30 years, and we should encourage the same developments in cinema. With modern technology, anyone can make a movie. Which is a fantastic thing! Now the little guy with the idea can actually go out there and do his thing. But he still needs $900. So, help the little guy make the greatest female martial arts movie ever shot in Tallahassee, FL, by donating to this project!
Also,we're having a challenge coming up with a title... but I'm sure we can handle that one.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
