      Hello Everyone,

My sincere and profuse apologies for being silent all this time. To make a long story short, I just didn't know what to say. Once I was tempted to say "We had a terrific start with 20 pledges on Day 1 but we've stalled since then." But I would just be playing the part of Captain Obvious.

Another time, I planned to appeal to you to help spread the word on your social media pages. But I decided against it because you've all done your part with your pledges and it would be terribly unfair to ask you to do marketing work for me. That was ultimately my job.

I'm going to try ONE last time either late 2018 or early 2019 to raise funds on Kickstarter. But I will do the following:

      1. Go ahead and spend the money to create the better version of VisorTwin that I was hoping to raise funds for with this current project

      2. Use that new version to create a new video. The video is too long and verbose. I realize it says to many things that are unnecessary or obvious to the viewer. The new video will be around 90 seconds long.

      3. Hire a marketing agency to create a more professional looking Kickstarter page. Create buzz leading up to the launch day to increase the chances of the project reaching its modest goal within 24 to 48 hours. It's no secret that projects that quickly reach their goals get more visibility on Kickstarter, thus attracting more viewers and pledges.

Once again, my sincere thanks and apologies to everyone who pledged to this project.

I hope to have better news for you in the future. Take good care everyone.

      Best regards.

      Patrick

It is a bummer there has been zero progress since the opening weeks of this campaign. It is also odd that the creator has zero presence. I was really looking forward to this product but I guess it is a no-go.

p.s., Never mind -- I just took a closer look at the photos on the campaign page and answered my own question. Thanks again, and good luck with this campaign. I am very much looking forward to having safer commutes. :-)

      Hello Patrick,
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Could you clarify your answer a bit more? Approximately how many inches could the VisorTwin extend down from the bottom of the built-in visor while still having the clip hold the VisorTwin securely to the visor?
      Thanks,
      Lynn

      Hi Lynn,

The Beta project in 2015 was the time the manufacturer informed me that the only way to fix the loose clip problem was to create an entirely new mold costing $3500. So I decided to shelve the project indefinitely.

With VisorTwin, if you need to have it extend down (protrude) from the bottom of the car visor, you can simply pull down on the clip and have VisorTwin "hang" as far down as you want. The new and improved clip will be tighter and will hold the tinted visor far below the car visor.

      Thanks.

      Patrick

      Hello Patrick,

VisorTwin looks wonderful, but I have a couple of questions:

      1) I appreciate your honesty about your previous crowdfunding attempts. I noticed that there were actually two previously cancelled campaigns on Kickstarter. These do not deter me from backing this project because I like the fact that you cancelled the campaigns rather than taking the backers' money and then not delivering. Would you please address what happened in the beta campaign from 2015?

      2) I have a hilly eastwardly commute to work each morning, and at certain times of the year, I feel like I am driving straight into the rising sun. I need to have a visor that extends down beyond the bottom of the car's built-in visor in order to block some of the otherwise blinding sunlight. (I'd rather see through a grey-coloured visor than not be able to see at all.) I have been using a visor that folds downward to achieve this. Would it be possible either to accomplish this with your visor or else simultaneously use both your visor and the visor I currently have?

      Thank you,
      Lynn

      Hi Peter,

VisorTwin cannot be used when the car visor is in the stowed position. However, it is polarized like sunglasses and scratch resistant as well.

      Thank you.

      Patrick

This is a great solution to a problem I have all the time! I'm photophobic and bright sunlight while driving is a real hazard for me.

Can the Visortwin be used when the regular visor is in its stowed position? Not only would it be nice to have the shaded visor in front while driving, I can see it being used as a HUD if I could find a way to mount a phone on the regular visor.

Is the Visortwin polarized? Is the Visortwin scratch resistant?

Good luck on the campaign! I hope this one works as I could really use this product!!!!
