Please complete your Kickstarter survey ASAP (thanks if you already have!)

Dear Backers,

Over the last 2 weeks we have messaged and sent surveys to all backers in the $1 to $1,600 reward tiers (that's over 600 of you).

Thank you to those who have already responded so promptly, we are well over the 50% response rate, but if you are yet to respond please do so as soon as possible.  Simply log into your Kickstarter account and you should see a yellow banner at the top of the page prompting you to provide a postal address and answer some simple questions about your reward package.

We hope to update you in a few weeks about a worldwide (excluding USA) distribution deal and plans for a theatre release in North America which will enable many more to see our film.

Best regards

Academy Award? "We Are Many" makes list for Oscar consideration in Documentary Feature category

We are delighted to advise WE ARE MANY is one of 124 features One hundred twenty-four features have been submitted for consideration in the Documentary Feature category for the 88th Academy Awards ®.

A shortlist of 15 films will be announced in December.

As a result of this exciting developing the film will be shown at a number of venues in the USA in November (please follow our Twitter feed @WeAreManyMovie for details as notice periods are likely to be short).

Dear Backers,

This update seeks to advise and clarify the rewards due to backers at your level and the expected timetable for delivery. It is not yet final and I appreciate it is much later than was first estimated when I launched the Kickstarter appeal in late 2011.

Rewards can be broadly categorised as follows:

  • Cat A. Thanks on the website/access to exclusive online content;
  • Cat B. Physical merchandise such as signed postcards, posters and digital stills, Amir’s previous films for the BBC;
  • Cat C. The film itself (whether DVDs, Blu-Rays or digital downloads); and
  • Cat D. Film credits and tickets to various launch events e.g. UK or US premieres.

Estimated timetable for delivery

Cat A = May 2015 and ongoing.

Cat B = First half 2016 We would like to send these at the same time as we send Cat C in order to minimise postage costs (backers are all around the world!)

Cat C = First half 2016 The reason this is so late, as I’m sure you will understand, is that DVD/digital downloads can only be released once the theatre/cinema distribution is complete and we hope the UK release in May 2015 will be followed by a release in other countries, particularly the USA and Canada in the first few months of 2016.

Cat D = From May 2015 as events occur. UK Premiere = 21 May 2015, UK Cast & Crew Party now estimated 2Q 2016. Others TBC.

I am excited to start getting the rewards to you soon and to bring you more good news about our film in due course.

Best regards

Amir Amirani
