"I was truly blown away by the quality and craftsmanship behind each item!.. Everything had a unique feel that you just don’t get when you purchase something off the shelf... The set could easily be a centerpiece for our convention demos." Tabletop Gamer
"When I took these to the local store people couldn’t quit playing with them... It looks like you are using some great heirloom dice passed down through generations when you break out the wooden dice and the solid acrylic is honestly a work of art." Blank Wall Games
"...assembling them, hitting them with a baseball bat, and dropping heavy things on them... Much to our sadistic surprise, the Daft Dice held up to repeated torture with nary more than a few nicks and scratches." Games & Grub
"The dice are cut exceptionally precise. When snapped together, they are quite difficult to pry apart...the acrylic dice are awesomeness. They are bright and very legible. They feel great in the hand. They make a neat sound when rolled." Chevee Dodd
"The dice are absolutely gorgeous...The reaction when people see them and pick them up is always one of amazement..." Geek-Craft
"...it’s immediately clear that Daft really cares about the components they produce...everything looks great, plays well, and holds up to abuse." Games & Grub
Yeah...that's right. Pure, 14 karat gold, diamond pipped dice. For the gamer who has "everything."
...What do you mean you don't have $10k to spend on a pair of the world's greatest dice?... Okay we get it, neither do we, just tell your rich gambler friend for us, please. For now, we suggest you start pimp'n out your gaming experience with… The Dragon Collection! This could be yours when you pledge for “The Whole Shebang.”
Our dice cups and towers come inlaid with cork for added appeal and a unique feel and sound. Not to mention the fine design details you'll have to see in person to fully appreciate. We only make stuff we would want to buy ourselves... blah blah blah, right? We'll talk more specs at the end but for now we want to showcase all the cool stuff we had a blast creating.
Dragons are only the beginning; maybe you prefer Pirates Vs Ninjas!
Do we only work in wood? "No!" Check out these materials we will be offering as we fund this project... keep in mind, some materials will be made available as we reach specific funding goals.
Are you a "true" gamer, looking to leave your calling card wherever you play?...
These are a standard 2.5"x3.5" business card with a pop out 16mm dice in each one. Originally these were created exclusively for the Daft team. But everywhere we take them we have people begging us to make them. So after a little persuasion, we've made them available to all of you. We can print the cards in most fonts, so they are customized to your business (unique font styles must be sent with request.) All we need is your info, and a simple logo, if you want, and you'll have the coolest cards around!
(Pop-out, card dice have two inside corners to each face that are left with about .02 millimeters of wood still connecting it so they stay secure in the card, but remain easy to pop out when you're ready. We've carefully engineered this so the outside face is completely cut out while only small connecting tabs remain on the inside back corners; this results in no visible marks.)
This wouldn't be a Kickstarter without a couple Add Ons! Up your pledge by the amounts listed below to add unique items to your collection. Our boxes, cups, and towers come with a theme or without; so you can customize them yourself if you want.
After seeing our dice, people begin to realize the customization potential and their minds get blown! You may be asking whether our constructible dice are durable... we answer with a resounding "Yes!" Then we show you this clip...
In case you hadn't noticed, we specifically chose the dice with cutouts. If that's not convincing enough, we have also done this test with acrylic and had similar results. At Daft we are all about new and exciting so we wanted to offer you things that have never been done before. Take cork for example. Until now, no one has manufactured cork cubes in the dimensions of gaming dice; we went straight to the manufacturers in Europe and had them custom made just for you. Sure, it was a bit of a gamble, but you're worth it and the results are amazing! And since they are a compressed cork composite they are more durable than we ever thought possible.
Almost all of our dice materials are available in 19mm and 22mm sizes except for anodized aluminum and solid acrylic; currently we offer those two materials in 19 mm only.
Each dice box holds two sets (or 8 dice) and are available for both 19mm and 22mm dice. You have your choice of the show box (legs, lid with lip, etc.) or the flat box (same dimensions but without the legs or lid that extends for those gamers who are always working to save space.) You can also add a box or boxes to your pledge if you just want a plain version to paint or carry dice collections you already have. You can order boxes for 16mm dice as well. (if ordered plain, we also offer a box with a sliding-top lid; available in all 3 sizes)
Our dice cups (roll equalizers) are made using a technique called a "living hinge." By using this method (and a couple additional tricks... Hey we can't give away all our secrets) we're able to bend a flat piece of birch plywood to make the dice cups you see here. We've gone through enough prototypes to where we feel this one is just about perfect in size (width 52mm, length 93mm, and height 90mm) to shake your large 22mm dice as well as your small 16mm dice. To add strength and durability (plus a nice aroma and pleasant sound) each cup has a 2mm cork inlay with a slightly thicker 6mm inlay on the inside, bottom of the cup.
While most everything you see here should look exactly how you'll receive it, we reserve the right to adjust the final product if we feel it will improve the end user experience; for example, instead of a standard joint hinge on the back of the cups we've opted for enhanced designs like the dice joint and the ninja star joint. They add the element of awesomeness, but it also takes a lot more work to get them just right.
Note: Any and all enhancements to products displayed here will be clearly identified to purchasers prior to the ship date.
We call these the "Ninth Symphony" of this project. We wanted to make these functional as well as good looking; therefore, we've designed them so you can lay the tower portion inside the bottom, dice catcher to enclose the two pieces together and create a fully boxed container to hold all your dice. Though it may sound minor, we want all of our products to not only look good, but have full, practical functionality... Did I mention that all our dice towers come standard with a 2mm cork inlay on all of the dice rolling shelves inside the tower, as well as the dice catcher?
Stretch Goals- More themes! More materials! Which ones should we unlock first?.. You make the call. Or tell us which new themes you think we should work on next. Add your voice to our comments section regarding new themes or materials you want to see.

Risks and challenges
There are definitely risks... Our machines might be stolen by Chessex minions in the night. The plague could break out and take out a third of the world population. But seriously...
We have a committed team that is ready to make this happen.
Worst case scenario, we knock this out of the park and have to ramp up production so much that it's a struggle to deliver everything by the promised delivery date. That being said, we've got all of our sourcing/deliverables already in place. Most of the components we are offering are custom made by us because we couldn't find anyone who could make what we wanted to our standards... It'll happen, friends. We'll get it to you as promised.
