About this project
Dogs of War, Swiss, Scottish and English units!
Blood and Dust is a game of strategy and adventure enabling players to participate in fierce battles between armies of Medieval times. The game faithfully reenacts the harsh combat reality of this period - heavy cavalry charges breaking enemy lines, lethal salvoes of archers or brutal infantry melees. Players have to choose the right tactics making flank or rear attacks as well as organize their regiments in proper formations. It is also important to take advantage of the lay of the land and use special abilities of commanders and units.
The game can be played in three different game modes for 2 to 4 players: standalone Scenarios designed by the author, standalone Scenarios custom-build by the players and the Campaign. In the Blood and Dust Campaign, the players become captains of mercenary forces who sell their military services in a world full of dangers, intrigues and brutal battles. Your heroes start from commanding a small detachment of units, but as the Campaign progresses, they will muster additional units for their armies. They will improve skills and search for fresh recruits, while their soldiers will gain experience in innumerable skirmishes. For a sack full of gold they will accept commissions, helping the wealthy and the powerful attain even more influence. Alternatively, they will seek glory and money on their own.

So far, we have published two games: the first one "The Convicted" and the second one "The Exiled: siege", which was welcomed warmly by both players and game reviewers. We managed to publish those games thanks to your immense support during the Kickstarter campaigns.
"Blood and Dust" authors:
The idea and the rules of the game were conceived in the mind of Mateusz Albricht, who is also the project manager and one of the concept artists. His efforts transformed a rough idea and a couple of sketches into the real game.
Another person engaged in this project is Marek Kramarczyk, who made our main video.
Tomasz "Morano" Jędruszek made our cover art.
Marek Mydel is our translator.
In addition to the designers, we have one person responsible for the formal and administrative side of the project – Anna Wiktorowicz.
Our backers will get the game before traditional distribution begins.
In addition, backing our game on Kickstarter is the only way to get exclusive campaign map.
We have covered most of the costs of the game development (graphic design, translation and rules), but we need your help to complete the design and art work as well as the production of the game.
If you decide you don't like "Blood and Dust" within the first month of receiving it, you can return it for a full refund.
Shipping costs will be added to your pledge via the Kickstarter shipping system as follows:
USA - $16
EU - $16 (THIS PROJECT IS EU FRIENDLY)
Poland - free
Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia - $12
Rest of the world - $20
If you choose to buy additional game copies, you will need to cover full shipping costs for the first game only. Shipping of each additional copy is free regardless of the destination.
PLEASE NOTE: All shipping within the EU will be done by a courier service with a tracking option (DPD/UPS or other courier company). Shipping in the USA will be provided by USPS. All others packages will be delivered using regular mail by a local postal service.
In justified cases, other companies may be used depending on the current market situation.
After the Kickstarter campaign is over, there will be a possibility to use a courier or a priority mail to any location with a surcharge (direct shipping to an individual recipient in the USA or any other country).
Risks and challenges
Estimated time for our game to be delivered to your houses is October 2017, but if we manage to reach subsequent stretch goals this date might be postponed as estimated after the campaign.
Publishing our past games made us realize all the difficulties and delays that occur during customs formalities, shipping or other production stages. Our priority is to offer the highest game quality possible even if it results in some delays and we are certain that you also expect the best. This date has been calculated based on the production estimations of our subcontractors with a bit of a safety margin added to it.
Our first project The Convicted was delivered to the Backers in Europe on time and to the Backers in the USA within 6 weeks of original estimations.
Our second project The Exiled:Siege was delivered to the Backers in Europe on time and to the Backers in the USA within 8 weeks of original estimations.
