Hi! My name is Tong Svangvitaya and I believe I have created the perfect Thai hot sauce. Working in the restaurant business, I learned the main reason people don't enjoy spicy food is because they can’t taste anything afterwards. I then started to notice the pattern of hot sauce flavors. Every brand is labeled with colorful, interesting names, and always sold as “tasty” or “one of a kind”, but when it comes down to it, it’s essentially vinegar, chilis, garlic, and cheap fillers for the body. Not everyone wants their food with just vinegar heat. I believe hot sauce can be more, it can be The Last.
The Last Hot Sauce is the first truly delicious hot sauce to be introduced to the market. It is packed full of flavor with a savory spicy kick to complement any dish instead of masking it. The Last Hot Sauce utilizes premium ingredients that really embody the four Thai tastes of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy. When you open the bottle, you're hit with the scent of fragrant herbs like galanga, kaffir lime leaves, and aromatic spices. The flavor does NOT disappoint! How does it taste?

I've spent the past year sourcing the right suppliers for each of the sauce's ingredients as well as selecting the best co-packer. So far, this has all been done out of my own pocket with zero debt. My Kickstarter goal of $15,000 is the minimum I need to begin larger scale production and continue with marketing.

As the son of immigrants, it has been instilled in me to understand and continue my family’s heritage and culture. Keeping that bond is especially important to my mother. In 1990, she opened Sala Thai in San Diego, which continues to be one of the city’s longest running Thai restaurants. I grew up in that restaurant, sparking a passion for Thai cuisine. I spent childhood summers in Thailand, and recently worked on a culinary internship there to hone my skills. I used everything I learned to experiment and work with flavors until I found the perfect mix, and now I want to share that with the world! I have been making sample jars of sauce and handing them out everywhere I go and people are loving the sauce but I feel like I've gotten as far as I can on my own. I need your help to bring The Last Hot Sauce to production and get my creation out to the world on a much larger scale. I believe in this sauce and the positive feedback has been encouraging, so I'm hopeful that enough of you will join me and help turn my dream into reality!

Risks and challenges
Every project has risks, but fortunately I have already overcome a lot of early obstacles. I have gone through the process of making The Last Hot Sauce shelf-stable without having to add unnecessary preservatives, and finding a co-packer who can produce the sauce to my high standards and who can strictly abide by the FDA's guidelines. Since The Last Hot Sauce is completely preservative-free, each batch has to be tested by the FDA before it can be released for sale. Thai adds an extra step to the production process but it was important to me to keep the sauce free from preservatives and as original and organic as possible (without spending thousands and jumping through insane hoops to get certified as organic!).
If this kickstarter campaign is successful, I can place my first bulk order for the sauce. We would begin shipping as soon as possible. This would allow me to get The Last Hot Sauce in your hands within 3 months of the campaign's end or less (for North America) and 5 months or less (internationally).
