CHARMER is about Samantha Wyrick, a young woman who escaped a creep-filled cult only to get pulled back in to return a favor. Along the way, she finds the opportunity to exact a little revenge on the people that killed her father and shattered her life.
CHARMER is inspired by TV shows like BUFFY the Vampire Slayer which features a rich, well-defined world and a strong female lead. The BLACKLIST is also an influence with it's buried secrets and violent undertow.
CHARMER #1 will be available in December as a 24 page DRM-free PDF comic book. The issue will be delivered in December 2016.
CHARMER #2 is in the penciling stage with Spring 2017 being the target for release. CHARMER #3 & #4 complete the first story.
This is a ‘Digital Only’ campaign, with the comic delivered as a PDF. Downloads will be available through Drive Thru Comics and links to dropbox folders. We just ask that you do not make the links available to the general public.
The first eight pages of CHARMER appeared in the comic pitch magazine OCTAL. It is available on DriveThru Comics.

The comic is a six page story called 'Night of the Minotaur'. Written and inked by Bill Williams, penciled by Ricardo Silva and colored by Jeremiah Skipper; this short story tells the story of a minotaur that is robbing travelers at the edge of Forlorn Swamp and the woman hunting the beast. This grim little story is part of an anthology coming soon from Pilot Studios.
Here's the first panel.
If you promote the Charmer campaign, in a tweet or a blog post or on your favorite social media, I'll send a link where you can download the comic in pdf form. Those links can be sent to Bill Williams though twitter.
Mike Schneider will make OCTAL #2 available as an Add On at the end of the campaign.
Risks and challenges
Since all of the line art and half of the color pages have been completed at the time of the launch, the risks to the completion of the comic are low. We just need the internet to stay up long enough to deliver the final books.
Our goal is to make the digital comic easy to download and fun to read.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
