About this project
The Turn Out is about a trucker who is overworked and frustrated that he rarely sees his teenage daughter. One night, his wife forces him to move out of the house. He moves into the local truckstop where a young girl, Neveah, knocks on his door and asks if he’d like some “company.” As he learns more about her, Neveah's story is revealed. She is being trafficked by members of her own family. This experience encourages Crowbar to question his earlier approach to the women and girls he has seen night after night trolling the rows of parked trucks. He begins to examine his own relationship with his daughter and he decides to take action.
Special thanks to Rep. Teresa Fedor, Judge Paul Herbert, Rebecca Miller, Barbara Freeman, Vanessa Perkins, and the truckers who have been raising awareness and changing legislation. We could not have done this research without you!

Risks and challenges
WEATHER: There is always the risk of uncooperative weather especially during the summer Ohio months. We are doing everything we can to ensure the appropriate amount of rain days scheduled.
CREW: We are using a combination of New York and Ohio professionals and films school MFA's throughout the production. We have been working not only to secure the appropriate amount of people to make this film happen but also the right personal to create a cohesive unit.
LOCATIONS: We have been diligently working on securing all locations for the project but mishaps and communication do happen. We have been working hard to build ties with local business proprietors to create strong relations.
EQUIPMENT: The camera and the supporting equipment will be insured. We have carefully planned out contingency in case something unforeseen arises.
POST PRODUCTION: Films in general are a long process but we are working hard to secure that this film has an original soundtrack, gets edited, sound designed, and completed within a certain time for Festival dates and releases.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
