Greetings Wild Frontierians,
I have some incredible news. In the last 3 days, our movie has been seen by almost 80,000 people around the world! This is an incredible accomplishment for us, and we could not have asked for a better way to roll out this piece. Yeah festivals are cool and all, but it's hard to compete with the amount of exposure we can receive online. And right now our little movie is getting a TON of exposure.
Like Youtube, Vimeo is an online video player, and there is HUGE network of filmmakers and film watchers using it every day. It is a tremendous honor to have a video chosen as a Vimeo staff pick, and the curation team has just selected our film and presented it in front of the entire world. At this rate, we are going to reach 100,000 people with our film by the end of the week. It's kind of insane how many people we're reaching with this project right now.
I can't thank you enough for your support in getting this work out there. Films like this simply could not be made without the support from people like you. And we're getting really positive feedback about the film! I've been getting messages from all kinds of people around the world, including Phil fans and even young filmmakers who are now inspired to go out and share their stories.
Now it's time to make another one! My editor Ryan Gould and I are already back to work on our first feature documentary called Barge. It's an experiential documentary about people who live and work on barges on the Mississippi River. We are aiming to finish this project in the Fall, and we would love to have your support and feedback as we near the finish line. Here's a link to sign up for our newsletter to get updates on progress of the film.
Thanks again for all of your support. We have officially accomplished what we set out to do, which is share our story with the world. Now it's time to make another one!
