Happy Holidays from HK Trilogy
It's January 1st, 2016... and the HK Trilogy team wants to take some time over the holidays and be thankful for everyone here who made our dream possible.
With your support, our (and our characters') "musings" on identity and what a society should be traveled around the world to 20+ film festivals, from Toronto (TIFF) to Poland (Camerimage), Busan, Torino, and San Francisco... it was also the #1 selling DVD at Eslite bookstore in Taipei and it will soon be available in the United States on Sundance's online video site!
In no particular order, here are some photos and moments of our journey (yes, I have photos of some of you!):
Maoshan Connie published her Occupy map scroll into a letter press book that sold out within days! She now devotes her time to illustrating people's letters to trees in Hong Kong (anyone can submit one, but the line is long!): https://www.facebook.com/deartreehk/
Here is a picture of her fans holding up her work at the Kubrick bookstore in Yau Ma Tei.
Jenny's two best friends from University (and backers), Karishma and Hind, flew to Mumbai (from Kuwait and Delhi) to see the film!
Chris out of beer at the press conference for our theatrical release in Taiwan... so thirsty, too many things he wanted to say!
Ken and Deniece, our super producers, who take a much needed and delicious break at 上引水產 in Taipei...
Chris and Ed (Lachman, cinematographer) sharing a laugh after our film at Camerimage...
... and a standing ovation...
Hong Kong jetlag... at our German theatrical release at the Filmhaus in Cologne... we are so happy to have our friends Stephan and Antoinette at Rapid Eye put out our film there!
If you have any memories or thoughts you would like to share, please share them here!
If you are wondering what we're up to lately... please follow Chris @dukefeng52 on instagram or Twitter... we are shooting a new film in 3 days!
