About this project
Hey! I wanted to just take a moment to tell you about Biscayne Boulevard. It will be an urban clothing brand based out of Miami. The brand will primarily focus on t-shirts, but will also have other clothing options ranging from sweatshirts to hats. Now I know there are young people like myself out there who have had the idea of starting their own t-shirt line. While you can respect the entrepreneurial spirit, I believe there are many important differences between those efforts, and what I am trying to do. Number one being my own personal skills and experience with pertinent fields ranging from graphic design, web design, Marketing, and more. I have the skills and the mindset to turn this into a serious respectable company as opposed to a sort of mediocre operation ran on Facebook or out of ones garage. Not only can I design unique designs from scratch, I can also build a fully functioning web site from scratch, and I can market this in a way that will take it from a typical college kids t-shirt line, to an actual company. And I think the most important aspect that is overlooked by most is the idea of branding. Anyone can throw together a series of non related t-shirt designs that may or may not look "cool". But what will really take a clothing company to the next level is a well recognizable brand. This means having a consistent logo that will appear in many if not most designs. This will be enhanced through other aspects including packaging. I plan on tagging all of my clothing and packaging it in a custom retail box with our logo. Branding can also be enhanced through use of a web site. And when you get all aspects to come together and portray a certain style and vibe, that is when you can be truly successful as a brand, and that is what I intend to do. All I need is a little bit of help from those on Kickstarter to get my idea off the ground. Then, with the backing of my school community (University of Miami), and my ideal location in the city of Miami, plan to grow the company first locally, and then nationally. Specifically, I need the help of the good folks of Kickstarter in order to obtain samples for our first line. Once I get the samples I can then take necessary photographs, complete the website, and begin marketing. So please help if you get the chance it would be greatly appreciated!
