Last November we released our first little batch of songs as a band, a 5 song EP called Five Foot Three. Since then, we've been writing and recording new songs through Montana's frosty winter and drizzly spring in our studio... and we are eagerly nearing the end of the recording process.
This EP has been an exploration of sorts into new themes. The musical territory we have entered is centered around RELATIONSHIP and the highs and lows that it brings along the way. The songs observe the tension of both attraction and animosity; and they find their rest in the groundedness that acceptance and grace bring to the human heart.
We've been quite resourceful while developing this project (cheese graters are for more than just the kitchen, friends) and we've been working very hard to create this album using the limited time, recording space, and materials that we have. Yet, we are also very excited to be working with a few brilliant folks who are going to be designing, mastering and mixing. Such a collaboration isn't free... but is REWARDING.
The world of financial facts and numbers is not exactly our favorite. We would love to say that we have enough money for producing the quality of music that we want to make... but we don't. What we do have, though, is an opportunity (through this kickstarter) to make this EP a reality and we would be honored if you would consider supporting us through any amount. We have some pretty delightful merch and rewards to give away too, designed by Rob Jelinski Studios!
If you give $10 or more we have a digital download of our album with your name on it... (Not literally, unless your name is Adam of course, in which case, it was really meant to be, don't you think?)
If you give $15 or more we will send you a physical copy of our Ribs of Adam EP! Oooolala!
We also have some limited edition rewards you can WEAR... or put in your closet, (or your laundry basket, or in a heap... etc.)
And for the sticker-loving folks (Can I get an amen!?) we have a new diecut sticker to share with you!
But merch ogling aside, we hope you know that if you decide to back our project we are awfully thankful and blessed by your support. It is a tremendous joy to be able to create, express, and share what we've been chewing on, aching over, laughing about (and crying about) and sweating and bleeding through... and without the gift of ears and hearts to hear our creations the process of art lies incomplete.
Thank you, listener and reader. We would love your company on our journey.
Risks and challenges
We are a small but equally scrappy team.
(There's three of us: Shayla, Leon, and Zach the manager)
We live in the middle of Montana... (where there are more cows than people) so it takes a while to get stuff sent to us through the mail.
Our timeline for production has been set in place, but in the case of errors and delays with communication, shipping, or manufacturing, we are each still 100% determined and focused to bring this project forth to completion.
