Like many small manufacturers we're also gamers who like the detail of resin buildings but prefer the price of laser cut. So we've come up with an idea which combines the best of both - laser cut shells clad with resin fronts, backs and rooftops. This offers economic buildings with high detail which are both easy to assemble and paint. Thanks to the nature of the kits the detail of the resin can be painted prior to assembly - so no more tricky bits!

Facades are also available seperately for your own builds, they're 5mm thick on average so compatible with foamboard and foamed PVC.

The Buildings

This is one of the Small models of the range. It's approximately 170mm high, 100mm wide and 110mm deep (6.69" x 3.93" x 4.43").

You pick the facades you want front and back, the style of roofing and any extra roof details so there's a wide scope for variation. Each small building comes with the MDF shell, one front and one back detailed resin cast, two roof sections, coping tiles and a chimney.

 Below is the Medium model of the range. It's approximately 225mm high, 100mm wide and 110mm deep (8.85" x 3.93" x 4.43").

You pick the facades you want front and back, the style of roofing and any extra roof details, so again there's a wide scope for variation. Each medium building comes with the MDF shell, one front and one back detailed resin cast, two roof sections, coping tiles, a dormer window and a chimney.

Below is the Large model of the range. It's approximately 245mm high, 150mm wide and 160mm deep (9.64" x 5.9" x 6.29").

You pick the facades you want front and back, the style of roofing, and whether to put dormer windows or skylights on, so even more opportunity for variation. Each medium building comes with the MDF shell, one front and one back detailed resin cast, two roof sections, coping tiles, two dormer windows and a chimney.

Small Facades

These are the facades for the Small buildings which you get to choose from They're approximately 5mm thick (0.19") and fit snugly onto the MDF shell.

Medium Facades

These are the facades for the Medium buildings, they're approximately 5mm thick (0.19") and fit snugly onto the MDF shell. They're effectively one storey taller than the small buildings.

Large Facades

These are the facades for the Large buildings, they're approximately 5mm thick (0.19") and fit snugly onto the MDF shell. They're effectively half as wide again as the Medium buildings but the same height.

Roof Tile Choices

There are three different roof tile options for the Small and Medium buildings, and two for the Large buildings. These are fully detailed, and the tiles are thin enough to allow a close fit for the addition of chimneys, skylights and dormer windows without requiring filling.

 Dormer Windows, Skylights & Chimneys

There's two choices for the dormer window. One is included in the Medium building kit, two are included in the Large building kit and they are also available seperately add £2.50 to your pleadge for each one.

A skylight is available, add £1 to your pledge for each one.

There's two options for the chimney, one is included in every kit but they are also available seperately by adding £2 to your pledge for each one.

Optional Extras

This fifteen piece Sign Set is available for a distinctly French flavour for a £5 addition to your pledge.

Please note the spelling of "Quincailleri" has been corrected but not in time for the photo displayed.

This sixteen piece set of Balconettes (a false balcony, or railing on the outside of a window-opening) adds a pleasant finishing touch to every building for £5 a set.

Basic Build Guide

The MDF shell is twelve parts, two sides, front & back, and eight tabs.

Slot the front back and sides together. We recommend contact adhesive to give you enough wiggle room to get it perfect.

Add the tabs in the upper and lower corners.

Then you'll have a completed shell.

Line up the front.

Glue it into place.

Do the same to the back.

Then add the roof panels.

Dormers, skylights and chimneys can then be added however you choose. There's also pewter coping tiles for the roof join at the top.You may want to paint the sides to match the facades before working on the roof.

Notes

All kits require simple construction and painting. No miniatures, figures, vehicles or other items featured in the video or the photos are included, they're only used as examples.

Risks and challenges

The masters are all made, as are the first production moulds, so what you see here is what you'll get as everything is ready to go.

The only challenge is the production, but as a small Kickstarter due to deliver in March 2017 I've given myself enough time to make sure everything is not only cast and delivered on time but it's of a high quality.

None of this range will be available via retail until all pledges have been fully met.
