This is our first year with our skin care products. We knew our products worked well for my husband and I, he uses the scrubs and butters, not only on his feet and body but also in his hair & beard. But we needed to find out if our products would work for others.
We held several home scrub parties and allowed our guests to try our scrubs and butters first hand. Our products got great reviews and good sales. Making small samples of our whipped butters and scrubs we took them to several offices in Sacramento and left them for the office employees to try. We received calls and e-mails for orders. We started getting feedback. One woman wrote how our scrubs and butters helped to remove her sever callouses on her elbows. Another customer wrote that she was diabetic and our butters worked much better for her extra dry skin, than the creams she had been using.
We recently brought our products to the Sacramento Flea Market and they went over well. Customer feedback has been fantastic and the fuel to our excitement and desire to pursue the advancement of our business. We have discovered that many people do not know how to properly take care of their skin, not realizing the skin is the largest organ on the body. Being able to educate and help people with certain skin problems is rewarding.
This summer OUR PROJECT and goal is to attend Trade Shows, Farmers Markets, State and County Fairs. So far we have financed our business with our own funds but we need to raise $3,000 so that we can successfully attend these events.
With the funds we will:
1. Fulfill our commitments to all those who backed our project and believed in us and our products. We appreciate your confidence in us and our products and we hope that our backers will use the rewards that we send so that they may see and feel the difference on their skin.
2. A portion of the funds will be used for securing advance dates at these events and obtaining insurance where required.
3. A portion of the funds will be used for ordering more ingredients for making fresh product to take to these events.
4. A portion of the funds will be used for ordering more containers for our products.
5. A portion of the funds will be used for ordering more labels for our containers.
6. A portion of the funds will be used to order more business cards and tri-folds containing information about us and the ingredients that we use..








Risks and challenges
Our biggest set back could come from not receiving our ingredients/containers/labels on time. It has happened before, but because we stocked well at the beginning it didn't become an obstacle.
If funded, then we will stock up so this problem will not happen.
An obstacle could be having to many orders, not enough help. My husband and I are 100% committed to our business dedicating all of our time. Having owned a catering business for many years, we have often found the need to hire extra help for bigger jobs. We still have resources to obtain and hire extra help if we need it.
